Price increased since last visit and good not as good .. no salad or presentation and not much choice on steaks on a Sunday

First visit very busy. Asked to change table as to near thoroughfare. They changed us within 10 minutes. Food was delicious. Very nice

I am a frequent visitor of Ounce on a £1 an ounce Tuesdays. Regardless of how busy it is (evenings are always heaving), the staff are always so lovely. The steak is always delicious and always cooked to perfection. The garlic butter is a must for garlic lovers.

Lovely food But didn't have time to look at drinks menu before being asked what we wanted as soon as sat down. We asked for a drinks menu she gave us wine. We asked what elsr there were but made us feel like a burden asking what other drinks were available.

We found that the châteaubriand on this occasion was not as good as it is normally but other than that the rest of the food was spot on , the truffle fries , cauliflower cheese, dirty mash Maybe next time we go it will be up to its normal high standard

Professional. Greeted by a young man with a genuine smile, friendly tone of voice and an obvious understanding of customer psychology. The Sunday roast is second to none with roast beef very tender with perfectly cooked vegetables. Astute service abd after being there twice, I can't wait to go back. Just a shame I don't live near by.

Food was lovely but as we were sat so close to the bar the area kept going quite dark with people stood so close waiting for tables and stood in the way of the lights

Group at the opposite table were very loud , probably due to the amount of alcohol they’d consumed

Food was great as always. The phone constantly ringing (from what appeared to be upstairs) wouldn’t be such a problem if the ringtone was changed. Staff were great but very overwhelmed.

Dining in Ounce was probably my favourite meal out ever!! The service was lovely, everyone was friendly and willing to help. The food was outstanding, the best steak we have ever tasted!! We will definitely return!

Good steak, but unhappy with the cutbacks of removing the salad, makes the plate look empty. I also think it’s very cheap to buy salad and removes a healthy part of the dish. £3 for the side salad is about expensive

Steak wasn’t as good as normal and salad removed and now charged extra which not a good look on the plate

Wonderful service as usual, greeted with a smile! Fabulous meal, steak cooked to perfection, best place in town for perfect steak!

Amazing service. It's my 11 year old son's favourite place to eat.

Stunning food, we came to the "£1 an ounce" evening, and chose 12oz each with the butchers jus, cauliflower cheese, tenderstem with chimichurri, and garlic button mushrooms, our steaks were medium rare and Oh Lordy they were AMAZING so succulent and tender, we will most definitely be back!!

As usual the waiters were attentive and helpful. I was a little disappointed to discover that there was no salad garnish with the steak although I understand that in order to keep the cost low something has to go. My steak was a little chewy but my husband's was very tender.
