Excellent place, food was amazing and the service was second to none

Ounce was a very nice, cosy and quaint.. The Steaks were excellent cooked to requirements with the accompanying skins on fries. The sauces were excellent too.. It would have been nice to have a little garnish by way of cherry tomato or mushroom with maybe rocket as a garnish, i say this as a suggestion as it would give a great visual to add to an excellent dining experience.

Lovely steak yet again, friendly helpful staff, love the atmosphere downstairs but unfortunately upstairs and found it quiet and cosy seating.

Too busy and not enough customer service. Not the usual Ounce experience. Steak was unusually overcooked but still tasted nice.

A full on 20oz steak tonight. Attended with some very good friends who had never tried ounce before. 4 starters ordered and all were cooked amazingly. Unfortunately, the tender stem broccoli was quite charred and burnt hence the reduction of a review. Steak cooked perfectly but again with slight burnt on the outside. Service was excellent and we were placed in a small booth which reduced the noise. Love this place.

Sat upstairs for the first time as a consequence food seemed to take longer to arrive. Steaks were all cooked as ordered, all 4 of us left very satisfied

Lunch here is excellent all round great value and the service is very good.

We first come to ounce 6 months ago and loved it so much other steak houses just don’t compare so we decided we would come for our 1st wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint the staff were amazing and friendly the food was incredible cooked to perfection we can’t wait to return

Always the best steak, a lovely atmosphere and great, friendly staff

Very disappointed in the service we received. We come to ounce regularly as a family and it seems to have gone down hill. From a waiter saying I'll get it when I get a chance to a waitress saying so you wanted it medium/well when someone said it was raw and not cooked medium. Very rude and abrupt comments. The steak was under cooked and completely unable to cut it, in fairness the manager changed this and the second meal was nice and it was taken off the bill. I feel the management needs to address their staffs attitude. The peppercorn sauce was white and extremely creamy hardly even a hint of pepper. Hopefully we will have a better experience next time.

The service was great and the server was lovely and friendly could not fault

Upon arrival we were just pointed to our table in the back room. Upon verifying we had headed to the correct table the waitress did not seem interested in assisting ourselves. We had the nightly special and upon seeing the same orders arriving at other tables our to steak boards seemed very small compared to other orders. Whilst three out of the four party had finished, I was still eating and the waiter started to clear the table around me up to the point of removing my plate as I was still eating out of side dish! Albeit the steak was good, great environment, placed under a speaker and the whole party (2 adults, 2 teenagers) found it difficult t hear each other over the table.
