Beautiful Sunday roast, served properly, with an excellent bottle of St Emillion. Prompt friendly service. Will be going back!

Service was ok. Only two options left on menu for starters which was disappointing. When served plates were slammed down. Steak I asked for medium it was rare. Got billed for extra bottle of wine we didn’t have. Staff were not really attentive we were left too it. Sadly not the experience we wanted. Would go back but book an earlier time on a Saturday night.

We visited for Sunday lunch for my husband’s birthday. The service from the moment we arrived was brilliant, food amazing and atmosphere just as great. Nathan went above and beyond and we will be returning. Thank you! ☺️

Went for the Chateaubriand Thursday special. This was excellent steak as were the chips, the Ounce bitter (brewed by Wye Valley) and the table waiting staff. What was not good was the time between placing the food order at around 8.15 and it not being served until 9pm. There was plenty of people watching to do in those 45 minutes but the delay was too long to feel happy abut it.

Fantastic meal steak cooked perfectly especially hard to do when you have 24 ounces and want it medium rare.

Incredible!! £1 an ounce and the cuts were perfect. Cooked perfect and melted in my mouth. Took the Butchers Jus and this accompanied the steak to perfection.

Visit on Thursday and we highly recommend the chateaubriand, truffle chips also the cauliflower cheese, peppercorn sauce, the chateaubriand melts in your mouth and is cooked to perfection . I think that the peppercorn sauce is to die for . If you go to ounce I can honestly say you will not be disappointed, they do special offers on different days .

Very slow service and the vegetables were very salty. On a positive note the beef was amazing.

Always have excellent food whenever we go. Service was great and good value on a Tuesday or Wednesday with the £1 an ounce menu! We will be back
