The service was great and the food was lovely really enjoyed it. It was quite busy when we were dining so we did have to ask a couple of times on different occasions to order. Like dessert and so on, but overall great experience and will be back.

Food was amazing. All staff were lovely and friendly. Only thing the floors were really slippery.

Polite and courteous staff but a lack of space and rowdy diners made it unpleasant. Very surprising in a restaurant that sells predominantly steak that there is no barbecue sauce or onion rings. A lack of order and organisation between staff e.g when trying to pay or requesting condiments added to this.

usually it fantastic, this time the two steaks were luke warm, the sauce didn’t turn up so i had to remind them, i asked for olive oil on the salad, it never arrived and my sons steak had a lot of grissly bits which were inedible.. this is very unusual

Fabulous from start to finish, very friendly welcome as it was the first time we had been they made sure we knew how it all worked. Only issue was that we weren't asked about allergies and my partner has quite a bad mushroom allergy. Food was amazing.

This was our first time to visit Ounce - and we look forward to going again! The food was delicious ( a bit too much for me so it was packed up and I’ll have it today!) and the staff are exceptional.

Excellent food and good value apart from cost of a small Jug of gravy which was a quarter of the cost of the meal. Restaurant area is a little cramped and decorative ly 'quaint'. However, the food is first class.

Best roast I’ve had at a restaurant - and the beef was perfect as I had to have it cooked more due to being pregnant (I’m normally a medium rare person) but was still full of flavour and not dry or over cooked. Highly recommend.

We were treated to a wonderful meal on our first dinner at this wonderful restaurant, it is expensive but worth the expense, I would recommend my friends to eat here.

The food and service were great. The Chateaubriand was lovely and the sides were good. The only thing that spoilt the whole meal for our table of two was the smell of drains which seemed to come from the cellar as we were near the stairs. Though it wasn’t quite as distinctive as it could have been as it was intermingled with the smell of disinfectant that had obviously been used to disguise it, it was very off putting. Having visited the toilets upstairs during our visit we noticed that there was no smell in there. Other than that rather major fault it our meal was fine

Another great Sunday lunch on a wet and windy afternoon with the tastiest, most succulent roast beef and fluffy yorkshire puds. Cauliflower cheese piping hot and jus oh so tasty. Sadly, no room for dessert. Really can't recommend highly enough.

Restaurant fairly quiet as a week day mid afternoon visit. Chateau B for 2 was amazing and piping hot. Side dishes also excellent. Service superb.
