Great speedy service. Food was fabulous really enjoyed our visit

Booked 2 weeks in advance but could only get a 9pm slot, this had a knock on effect with what was available, no rump steak on the menu, so ordered sirloin, again none available, so we ordered a fillet which was good but the ribeye I chose when assured the fat was minimal was infact the worst cut of meat I had ever had, EVER. Great lumps of fat throughout. Even one of the starters was five minutes later than the others. Dessert was ok but a little dry, we chose a red velvet cheesecake. They need to go back to the honeycomb ones , they were amazing. Really disappointed to be honest, have been 3 times before and I rated top marks on everything all 3 times , but this time , I’m sorry , I can only speak as I find. I’m a big tipper usually, no chance this time. I might go back but certainly not late on a weekend again. OVERALL DISAPPOINTED ☹️

We were recommended this restaurant as we both love a decent steak. We were not disappointed. Having eaten at a previous well known steak restaurant in the town this place was far better. Small cosey with nice atmosphere. The steak was by far the best we have had out in a long time. Service was good and no pressure to feel rushed. Was a very enjoyable evening. Booked already to go again with visiting family in a few weeks time. Cant wait.

First visit there and the steak was superb, my T-Bone literally fell off the bone, the Mrs steak looked great as well, must of been good because there wasn’t anything left, and for her to eat it when pink/medium rare is testament to how good it was 😳! Young short haired waitress was excellent, Only gripe which isn’t really one was the original table we were to be sat at, wasn’t the best position, but the staff gladly moved us upstairs. Will be back💖❤️

We love Ounce Bar - been coming here for 6 years now (when it was The Marwood) and haven't had one bad meal, or below par service.

What a fab place .I love the steak, and £1.00 per ounce is fabulous. The place is vibrant , without being pretentious. The staff are pleasant , and engaging. Would definitely recommend this restaurant ,you will not be disappointed.

Very impressed with both food and service, especially as we took our 4year old for an early evening meal, the childrens menu is “real” food and the staff, particularly a young lad (didn’t catch his name) was brilliant with my daughter. Really nice to go to a “grown up” restaurant, which is inclusive of children but not “child oriented” and sit and have a decent (exceptional!) steak.

Sunday lunch once again. Every time we visit, which is quite often, the place is always busy but we have never waited long for service. We will be going again soon.
