love this restaurant, food is always amazing, staff so friendly it's our favourite place for a steak

Tried to serve the main course before we had finished the starter? As a consequence the main course was taken back and re- served 12 minutes later and obviously not as nice as it should have been. Nobody likes to be/feel rushed especially at those prices.

Had wrong steak asked for medium rare and got medium well

Food was great but we felt the waitress was waiting for us to leave. She was very pleasant but we were the last people left upstairs and we all just had a feeling that she wished we’d hurry up.

Another lovely evening out with friends, great food, good service and lovely pub/restaurant, next visit in July cannot wait😀

Had a great time with some friends, we all had the pound an ounce menu, 16oz of pure goodness, cooked perfectly. Shame that the card machines took ages to take payment

Beautiful food as always but service not quite up to usual level sadly. Long wait to be bought bill then to pay it. Staff seemed unsure of the processes so were perhaps new. Hoping it is just a blip as always had great food and service previously!

Seated quickly & great waiting staff but did have to ask for wine twice and arrived halfway through meal but food as always excellent!

Visited at lunch time for £1 an ounce with a baby. They were very accommodating and welcoming to us all and it was delicious as usual!

The first time and thought the food was first class. Our son has moved into the area, celebrated with this fabulous experience.

Another amazing meal. Visited Ounce but at the partner venue, so decided to try here also. Absolutely outstanding food. Will be back! Went on a Thursday for The Thursday ChateauBriand Day where it is £30 for a 16oz which is £35pp every other day. It’s phenomenal! Make sure you have ‘The Jus’ it really heightens the amazing taste! The outside of the venue is quite quirky and ‘modern’ mix and inside is done really nicely too. The Ounce Beer is tasty and goes down well! The fries are decent and order two sides, had the bacon and onion cabbage and the lemon tender stem broccoli! Very yummy! The Chateaubriand is cooked Medium-Rare however, I did think it was more rare which was even better for me! No blood just very pink. You can get it done Med-Well done I’m guessing but that would be sacrificing an amazing melt in the mouth meat! Next time I’d probably request a table away from the stairs and front door as lots of passing people however it didn’t stop a great enjoyable meal. The service was very good, a young gentleman but the other colleagues also help out. Would definitely recommend this place and will be definitely be booking back in! Amazing!

Today only Rubbish worse experience here. Shocking Last visit best steak I’d had in years & couldn’t fault anything at all from the staff, ambiance, wait time & food This time Waited 1hr 15- 20 mins for food. New chef today apparently When we did get food, veg under cooked, 4 cheese cauliflower undercooked & watery, roast potatoes soggy / not crispy but cooked okish, Yorkshire pub burnt, 1/2 the beef was dry & medium / well not medium rare as stated Has Left me in a predicament for future Sunday lunch but will try the Dolphin @ Bishampton next Rather disappointing day
