Ounce At Worcester

The food was amazing and the cheese bored and the port was amazing

Love this place and food fabulous. Not impressed that we were seated at a round table for two that was at an awkward angle to the bench seating. Had to twist to reach the table. It felt like they were just trying to cram in as many covers as possible without thinking about comfort or practicalities. Had to ask to move.....but they did move us and everything else was great. Fillet steak cooked to perfection !

Went on a Wednesday to take advantage of the £ per ounce steak offer. Really good value, steak tender, cooked exactly as requested. Had the tasty crab starter and was tempted to have to the ice cream/coffee/rum dessert - also really good. Only thing we miss is the large flat mushroom cooked whole which they used to serve

Fantastic venue, food and service. A great concept and great quality steaks. Booking was really easy ( unlike a lot of other restaurants) and communication from the restaurant was great! I will definitely be back and will highly recommend Ounce to family and friends.

Incredible food and wine, as always. Just please remove the small table next to the beer garden entrance!!! The ‘side-on’ seat with cushions doesn’t work! Best steak and wine in Worcester though 👍

I was very disappointed, we have been numerous times to Ounce Bar and have loved our meals. I ordered a steak (Medium Rare) and it was terrible. It was more like a rare steak and was terribly chewy! I even broke a tooth trying to chew it. I didn’t eat my meal afterwards and when I told the waitress The response was ‘oh, ok’ not good enough really. It’s a shame as we all really loved going to Ounce Bar and now it’s put a dampener on it. Off to the dentist I go!

As usual a great meal, such good value for money great atmosphere and attentive staff. Only issue is being seated at the table in the corner of the room , which is a bit claustrophobic , also very close to other table, which means you hear everything the other people are talking about. Apart from that brilliant.

On Tuesday's and Wednesday's it gets very busy so you need to book in advance

The best steak in Worcester by a mile. Never had a bad experience here.

We had a poor experience visiting this restaurant for the very first time. Would not recommend for Sunday Roast. The beef was half fat, half meat. Yorkshire puddings were burnt on the top and overly crispy. “Award winning” cauliflower cheese seemed like a cheese sauce that you make using kettle. My partner had 1 parsnip, I had none and the children’s meal had 1. Roast potato I had 1, partner 2 and child 2. And to top all of this off, our food was served on a cold plate and the food was served cold due to this. Very disappointing experience. We left half full on a Sunday.

This was our first visit to Ounce, after wanting to go for a long time. They have the butchers choice (rump steak)on offer Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s but we opted for the filet. Which we asked for medium but cane out a little over medium but was still extremely nice. The super green veg side was great and the fries stayed warm throughout the meal, which is a first for us in a restaurant. We will be back.

Great steak as always for all four of us! Always a great atmosphere in there. However, one of us unfortunately (happens to everyone) had 2 flat pints. Our waitress first changed it which she didn’t look to happy about. However the second time we over heard her say ‘oh she moaned the last time about this’ blah blah. Wasn’t overly happy with the comment but hey ho. Thanks Ounce for great food always! We will be back.
