Manchester is a long way from Milan – whether geographically, culturally, linguistically, culinarily...we could go on. At least their two football teams play in red and blue, to make people feel more secure, plus it does rain more in Milan than most people think it does. In Hyde they have Paglicacci Restaurant, a restaurant that makes the some thousand miles, the difference between opera and Oasis, Milanese and Manc, pizza and pies seem like a small hop, with an Italian menu that is as authentic as it is expansive. You can find them on Market Street – Strado di Marche, if you will – in Hyde, just a short walk from the Hydo Centrale train station, so head on over and try some of their pastas, pizzas and other Italian specialities. Remember to book a table though, as they can get very busy.
