Disappointed it wasn’t as amazing as it was the first time. Pasta over cooked and husbands pizza wrong. Will definitely try again

It was Nice food, and hot, but we all felt rushed by the waiters, as they couldn't wait to clear our plates and didn't give much time between starter and mains, and also its quite expensive

Enjoyable meal. Recently under new management. Food was good with large portions. Waiter was a bit over exhuberant and loud which felt a bit overpowering.

Food was of an excellent quality. I had pasta with salmon and my son had a calzone pizza. We were treated quickly and efficiently and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This is a lovely restaurant, enhanced by a beautiful grand piano which instantly creates a wonderful atmosphere. During our visit there was tasteful background music being played at just the right volume. We had a comfortable corner table and waiters were attentive and anxious to please. The menu is comprehensive and there is food for all tastes. As a pescatarian I sometimes find it difficult to find a suitable meal, but here I was spoiled for choice. There is food for all budgets, from the humble pizza and pasta to more sophisticated meat and fish dishes. The house red wine was delicious and our food very good. This was a very good experience

Good meal but poor attitude of main waiter (manager?) More bothered about being paid than looking after the guests. Last time we went, the waiters were fabulous, treating you like family. Now the smile and friendliness has gone and it wasn't that full. This was a special birthday celebration for my wife, which normally would have had the staff being attentive and responsive to make the most of the night and making the experience something to remember. Nothing like that now! There are other Italian restaurants, with equally good food, who treat you as though you're special. That got lost at Pagliaccis on Saturday 8 April. Shame!

Nice place with friendly staff. However, having read previous reviews I think it must have been an off night. The king prawns were tough and my fillet steak a little dry and tasteless as was my partners chicken. People on the tables either side also complained one about the toughness of the steak and a lady sent her chicken back. The best things were the prawn cocktail and the vegetables were nicely cooked. Will give it another try though in view of other previous good reviews.

Never disappointed whenever I have eaten here. Fabulous food and attentive staff. Had a fillet steak medium rare which was cooked to perfection. Myself and both companions rate this place as one of the best restaurants in the area.

Me and my fiancé where celebrating our 3 year anniversary and I have to say the atmosphere was good, the customer service as good and the food was good. The only issue is have is i ordered a stuffed chicken breast with salad and when it came it was literally a chicken breast and a bit of salad and it cost a whopping £15 I was still hungry after eating it and had to finish my partners meal off to try and fill me up. I would definitely recommend the garlic bread with cheese it was one of the nicest garlic bread I have ever had and if I'm honest i could have had a massive plate of that for my main course if I had known how good it was. I would give the restaurant a 6.5 out of 10 overall the only thing that let it down was value for money I felt certain things where more overpriced than they needed to be.

Everything was good, the food etc but then a big party came in and I felt like we were being ignored and waited 20 mins for the bill. Shame but will go back again

The service was very good combined with excellent food from the unsung heroes in the kitchen, the wine menu provided an excellent choice to compliment a wide range of food.

Been to this restaurant many times, as usual the service and the food quality is excellent. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian or any wishing to try it for the first time.

Went with my partner here and the food and hospitality was amazing cannot fault this restaurant. Also it was very lovely inside very clean and the staff was very professional

The food was good but the service was very slow which spoiled the evening. In the first 2 hours we had only received the starter.

It was ok. Food was nice. Quite cheap. Atmosphere wasn't great. Wasn't really blown away . Definitely value for money. Waiting staff being abrupt with each other wasn't very professional

Booked for Valentine's Day. The only thing good about our experience was the food that we actually received. Service was poor as they seemed very under staffed for a busy night. Order was wrong for drinks and with regards to the food, we didn't receive the accompanying veg or sides that we'd requested. Staff were running around so we were unable to tell anyone about it. We told the waiter later about this and he still put them on the bill. Overall not very impressed.

Being Italian I am a natural born food critic and if the food does not match my mum's cooking it ain't good that said the food is excellent service is great atmosphere is superb only one thing lets it down .... pineapple on pizza esotica other than that I truly cannot fault it been going there for years never disappointed

Brought friends who hadn't been before and they wanted to read-book at the end of the evening. The food was lovely and the staff attentive and polite.

An excellent night with good family and exceptional good food would recommend anyone to try it you won't be disappointed,thank you for a brilliant evening.

We love this restaurant, very friendly, efficient service. The food is fresh & tasty and the waiters are always ensuring drinks are topped up. It's a family friendly restaurant too

From entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a very friendly atmosphere it was warm and welcoming. The staff were excellent both with service and professionally. The food was excellent very fresh and heat hot just what you want. If you want to go on a Saturday make sure you book. Can't wait to go again.

Second time Ive been there the first time was a Sunday and the sevice was awesome. The second time it was like a different restaurant: hair on the plate of food, ingredients included that were not mentioned on the menu and were not in the food previously. Lasagna was really watery and runny hardly any meat or pasta and tasted generally unpleasant.

Totally recommend Pagliacci.......we had some fantastic food and the service was excellent. Have the 'hose red'.....its really nice and its in a LITRE bottle!!!!!!...we both had a great night.....THANK YOU

For a Saturday at prime time 7.30 was very maybe 5 tables full that's it,the last three time i have been here always packed, overall service was very good, food good nothing amazing, went to pay bill came to £48 with drinks so good value, gave £60 , waited for change so i could leave a tip, took 10 minutes while the money sat by the till, had to ask for it to be sorted ,was going to leave a tip, but i think they presumed they were fine with the £12 tip,because of this i only left £2 average experience , doubt i will go again

Really nice staff, food was lovely and it wasnt to busy, over all a wonderfull meal for you boyfriends 21st. The only thing i could criticize is the toilets. they were tiny.

Excellent evening. Food is fantastic with a good menu choice. Prices are towards the higher end but not ridiculously so. Plus the service is both friendly and fast.

This restaurant simply does the best pizza I've ever had, even comparing it to Italy. The service was fast and the stuff was really professional.

Excellent service but food not up to expectations.., although staff did all they could to rectify problem. Also a little overpriced on main courses. If we decided to revisit would choose a pasta dish.

The food is always fantastic here. Our 5 year old adores the muscles. Yummy! Very child friendly, we love it.x. Highly recommend, very reasonably priced too.

Food was lovely but have to say we felt a little ignored by the staff. Having waiting 20 mins to be asked if we would like to order. We then sat with empty glasses for most of our meal and had to try to get various waiters attention to order ore drinks. We were never offered a dessert menu so we paid the bill and left. Like I say the food was lovely but the service left a lot to be desired which was a shame as it was our daughters birthday.

Fantastic food served by wonderful people. Hyde has a lot of restaurants and takeaways and we have tried most of them. Not one comes close to the experience we get when we visit. Top, top class and we cannot speak high enough. Keep up the good work guys, look forward to our next evening with you.

Good service, friendly staff and extremely good food. We arrived on time and was shown straight to our table, there was no rush to order although the drinks order was taken straight away. I had the lasagne for the main meal and it couldnt be faulted, delicious and extremely generous portion, will certainly visit again.

Excellent restaurant and the food is one of the best italians we have been to. Excellent value for money and was truly a lovely evening at the restaurant.

This a Lovely Restaurant , with great food and friendly attentive staff, there were four of us in our group but they catered for a large party of twenty plus on the night too

Excellent food matched by excellent service moderately priced. The piece de resistance is the wonderful sauces. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The restaurant is a jewel in the centre of Hyde.

The service was very good and welcoming, we did not need to wait for orders, and the delivery of the food was timely and when it arrived was very good, with large portions. would definitely eat there again

Food was terrible, ordered Sirloin medium rare, what I received certainly wasn't sirloin and it was like a brick, more than well done, potatoes which came with it were black in parts. Completely inedible

Great food and service. Head waiter could have tried and force a smile every now and then. Also would be nice to get a dipping bowl of the balsamic and olive oil rather than have to poor it onto plates. We shall return.

Absolutely fantastic meal again. This is our favourite Italian restaurant by far. The staff are always so friendly and efficient. The personal touch by the manager coming round to say hello makes you feel like a valued customer. Will be going again very soon.

Lovely atmosphere at the restaurant only a shame there was no pianist playing. Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was lovely, we had a great evening.

Lovely food and good atmosphere but sadly let down at the end with a 25 minute wait for the bill. Still would go back again though
