Although we enjoyed the meal - I was very disappointed. When looking at the menu on Tuesday before booking it - it gave 3 meat dishes and 2 vegetarian dishes. This was excellent as one of our party(whose birthday we were celebrating) is a vegetarian and the dishes looked a lot better than other restaurants hence that is why we booked. I was very disappointed when looking at the menu and it had changed from 2 to 1 - I apologised to our guest but felt very let down as this was one of the reasons we chose your restaurant. When you ask people if they still want the reservation perhaps you should also mention there is a change to the menu giving people the option of cancelling.

Great food, fabulous service by friendly, helpful waiters. I have eaten here on many occasions and never yet had a bad meal. The lunch time lunch deals are excellent. I would highly recommend Petite Paris.

We had a very good meal here. The service and food were excellent. We found it a bit odd that we were the first to arrive at the restaurant and they seated us near the entrance to the toilet and then the next to arrive were a party of 4 who they sat on the next table the other side of the entrance. Staff and custmoers then had to keep coming in between the two tables and there really wasn't much room (one woman had to turn sideways to fit through). We asked to move which they did without any hesitation and then we had a most enjoyable meal.

Delighted. This was our first visit for many years, and it certainly won’t be our last. Friendly staff gave us the warmest of welcomes, and service was excellent throughout. Being a Tuesday the restaurant was not particularly busy, and we had a calm and unhurried meal. The food was well cooked and delicious. My dessert of spearmint pannacotta with chocolate truffles was a joy. As three ladies meeting for a good catch up we appreciated the lack of obtrusive music which seems to be a prerequisite in so many restaurants. The three of us look forward to our next get together in a few months, but before that I shall bring my husband to this lovely little place.

My friend and I enjoyed our meal. The lasagne wasn’t as good as my friend had hoped and too large. The white chocolate mousse was delicious but we had strawberries instead of raspberries. Not as good as our previous visit.

Gorgeous food- nicely presented, tasty and quick service but not as atmospheric since they changed the layout- tables very close together, no decorations- flowers or candles on the table to make it feel special

Service very slow and nobody came to apologise or explain until we queried delay...Table booked for 5.45pm for 3 people as birthday treat prior to theatre at 7.30pm We ordered appetisers to share which came quite quickly and mains which unfortunately did not arrive until 6.45pm..., no time to order dessert or enjoy a coffee afterwards. Other diners were receiving two courses and leaving while we were still awaiting our mains.

The food and service was excellent. We have booked online for a table and then when we arrived we did not have to wait for a long time. The dishes were something different than ordinary food and good quality. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Pretty darned good. Food was nice, wine was light and a good price for a Pinot Noir; not sure about the refresh r.e. lighting though. And boy-oh-boy was it HOT inside. A/C needs to be whacked up a bit! Otherwise fab. Thanks. And especially for the price!

Very good welcome by the staff, drinks ordered and served promptly. Great selection on the menu and after ordering the starters arrived very promptly and were very enjoyable. Very soon after being cleared the main courses arrived, and we all enjoyed our choices. The fillet steak with blue cheese was cooked perfectly (for some reason I personally didn't like the bacon and thought it unnecessary); the lamb and chicken dishes were well received. No room for sweet unfortunately but a Bailey's coffee topped it all off nicely! The only thing I would say was that it all felt a little bit 'rushed'. We were the last to leave the restaurant and I had a feeling that the staff were going to party! The decor was pretty standard but having said all that I would travel from Derby to pay another visit and would recommend.

Interesting upstairs room. A few too many tables to be honest. But nice friendly service and a decent menu. Most importantly, the food was perfectly cooked and well presented and excellent value for money. Worth a visit certainly before or after a theatre or cinema visit.

Fabulous lunch as always. The pork starter and also the quail were superb, as were the main courses and desserts. The house white wine is extremely good too. What more can I say.

I have always liked this restaurant. It has been refurbished a bit since I last went and that has been well done. The food was very good as always with a decent choice at the basic prices as well as interesting dishes at a supplement. The service was excellent.

An excellent Sunday lunch. It’s a shame you see others apparently unable to use a knife and fork. Quite why you would wish to tackle the entire meal with only a fork remains a mystery!
