Ever since it was established all the way back in 1969, Piccolo Mondo has become a favourite among Southampton’s Italian cuisine aficionados. Located on Windsor Terrace in the city centre, Piccolo Mondo keep the crowds coming back for more and more with their authentic and delicious Italian offerings. Start off by sharing some antipasti, before moving on to some homemade pizza, a rustic pasta dish or another Italian classics like the polpette al sugo (homemade meatballs in a tomato sauce served with potatoes) or the trota fresco (fresh trout, cooked with wine, garlic, butter and lemon). Finish off with a traditional dessert or a glass of Italian wine. Is your mouthwatering? Book a table and head on over!
Top marks for everything as usual! 😁 We love the good, hot food, the wine is wonderful, and the staff lovely. We keep coming back as often as possible!
Absolutely love this little restaraunt. How they manage to cook the amazing food in such a small kitchen is incredible. I had steak last night and it was really gorgeous and my husband had swordfish which was lovely. We will definitely be going back very soon. Well done to all the staff last night you done a brilliant job 🤗
always great food and very friendly staff. Have eaten there many times and always great food and good value.
The staff are always friendly and the food is always very good. It's great to see a local family restaurant doing well. Always excellent. Well worth a visit.
Another lovely meal at Piccolo Mondo…………… great service, nice atmosphere and easy to book a table. Have been visiting the restaurant since the 1980’s and great to see a little independent business still going strong.
Lovely time and meal at Piccolo Mondo. The food is fabulous, really friendly and relaxed atmosphere - we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon!!

Usual good food and brilliant service. My husband and son (whose birthday it was) had their usual Calzone, which is an amazing thing. They have gluten free pasta, which is great for my daughter, and everyone had a good time. The restaurant was packed, which is always a good sign.
Went to see mamma Mia, started with a meal in piccolo mondo. We hadn't eaten there for many years and we wasn't disappointed the food was delicious staff friendly and efficient. Great start to a fab evening, definitely going again.
