Great food and lovely atmosphere and service. Had the three course Sunday lunch option with good choice of menu and excellent value and quality of food

Ate at Pipers last night with my husband and friends. We chose meals from the Wednesday deal and from the a la carte menu. Everyone enjoyed their food and cleared their plates. No better compliment! Excellent food.

Lovely setting with a wide range of excellent food on offer. The staff ensured all dietary needs accommodated along with excellent service. Use of local produce a bonus .

Excellent food and service, following a last minute online booking. Will definitely plan to visit again soon to try more of the menu, so many tempting dishes to choose from.

Food was fine but got stuck in the “restaurant back room” that was extremely bright and impersonal for a romantic dinner ... the table next to us also complained so hopefully they take that comments on board ....

An old stone building and you have to mind your head in a couple of places but warm and charming. Pleasant, friendly staff. Fairly priced. Good selection of dishes, from fairly traditional, to a little more creative. Lots of locally sourced items. The food is really good, enjoyed all 3 courses. Have been many time before and will be back. Booking on-line made it easier too.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere, beautifully clean and laid out. The menu really spoils you for choice, I could have had six meals there and enjoyed all of them. An outstanding chef.

Excellent meal, but wish we had asked for chunky chips instead of rustic. Staff very friendly with a warm welcome. We will be going back.

Went for my birthday tea and had some lovely food would definitely return! Would certainly recommend the BBQ ribs they were very tasty and tender.

Lovely lunch with a couple of friends. So relaxed at Pipers - staff very friendly and accommodating and the food is always good. Only had salads today as the weather was warm but they were really imaginative and interesting. Thanks Pipers; we'll be back.

Really good food and plenty of choice. Excellent service . I had the salmon which moist and tasty. The cheese board is excellent for sharing.

The food was excellent also the service as it always is at Pipers. We enjoy eating there, it is local and we like to support local businesses.

A little gem on a high street! Delicious food, the steak cooked to perfection and very welcoming staff. What more could you want. Highly recommend and we shall be revisiting very soon.

Great meal as always,slight criticism would be that jam rlly poly dessert didn’t hit the mark for all four of us but overall the meal was great value

Fine food, great ingredients and wide choice. Although more vegan or some vegan friendly tapas or dishes would be great. Lovely place and good value.

The meal was absolutely perfect, I could not fault anything. The food was delicious, staff could not have been more friendly or helpful I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys good food and a great atmosphere to dine.

Staff pleasant and helpful. Starters tasty. Main courses disappointing. Beef chewy. Yorkshires good, vegetables good. Gravy bland. Hake sauce not as tasty as it looked. Hake slightly overcooked. Deserts tasty. Will return.

Excellent food, nice relaxed atmosphere. Price reasonable for the quality of food. My only issue is that the tables are small but this is understandable as the rooms are small. There is no suggestion that they are cramming people in

The welcome from the staff was friendly and cheerful. They were attentive throughout without being obtrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. The meal itself was excellent. Definitely worth another visit.

Lovely friendly staff and good food. Ideal for meeting friends for lunch. Two of us had the grazing platters which were great and included various meats on one and fish on the other. Prices are reasonable and we'll definitely be back.

A wonderful intimate dining experience with amazing food and excellent service from the staff, a highly recommended place to spend a St Valentines Day meal for two.

Service was top notch from start to finish. We have dined at Pipers several times before hence why we keep going back. Tonight's meal if possible was the best we've had to date. Can highly recommend.

A bit pricey but great food and service. Our food was served at a good temperature and our red wine was at room temperature as it should be. I will definitely go again.

Lovely Sunday afternoon with helpful happy hardworking staff! Great value Sunday menu with a great variety to suit everyone. I had the confit duck with lentils and it was delicious, follow by the roast beef main with the tenderest beef that just melted in my mouth 😄 all washed down with a lovely bottle of Chablis, perfect!!

Enjoy a fabulous celebration and wasn’t disappointed. We will definitely return and recommend this fabulous little restaurant.
