Excellent service from all the staff and the portion size was massive

Another quality meal at the poachers, steak cooked to perfection and the black pudding magic is some starter, no room for desert!

We have eaten here several times previously and as in the past, the food was very good, we enjoyed the whole evening including the cover band that were playing. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Poachers Cottage to anyone and will continue to visit in the coming months. Exceptional value for money.

Lovely afternoon in the poachers, decided to indulge in the mixed grill and it was superb, washed down with a nice pint. Too full for a dessert. Always great food and value.

I take ma mum & dad often we have Christmas lunch at the poachers however they were busy ma steak was over cooked & mums gammon was tough the staff were lovely & I did get ma steak meal for free !! Not the standard we are used 2 very let down today 😞

Not been here for at least 10 years! Lovely pub, lovely warm atmosphere, plenty of great menu choices and excellent value for money. Would definately come again.

Table reserved for us. Staff very pleasant. Didn't wait long for food. Everyone in party enjoyed food. Said that they would recommend to a friend and would come again.

It was good as usual but I was disappointed with the congealed gravy on my meal.

Friendly staff and food was good as always. Quite busy but it was a Saturday night. Plenty of parking available and the prices were reasonable for both drinks and food.

Great quality and selection on the menu. Cracking value for money with excellent service. I had the sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection with homemade chips and for under a tenner!

lovely secluded pub, took my husband out for his birthday meal after it being recommended by a few people, well we were not disappointed.. The place is easy to find plenty of parking spaces, walked in and it was so cosy and a welcoming atmosphere, the staff were lovely, intentive as if we were regular customers. The menu is incredible alot of variety to chose from, when I went to order the lady who served me was happy and cheery, told me about the specials board which I opted for, my husband had an 16oz T-bone steak, I had the chicken with creamy prawns.. And wow just wow, the steak was like butter, perfectly cooked my chicken and prawns were just amazing, the portions are generous and they offer alternatives to just having chips (which are home cooked by the way) we also had desert which again were incredible plenty to choose from. We left there feeling stuffed and we felt like we were part of a family, we will be back!! Thankyou again x

This was our first trip to the poachers we found well cooked pub grub which was very good value for money . Live music was excellent and the staff were very friendly

Good food good value. This is well worth a visit although a fresh coat of paint and refit is surely overdue. Perhaps in the new year?
