Provender Cafe Bistro

Delicious starters and mains, the desserts were a bit average in comparison. Service was great, it was attentive but not pushy. We went on a Friday and although we had to book a week in advance, the restaurant had a relaxed yet lively atmosphere.

Provender offers a lovely classic French brasserie experience. Friendly service. Great wine list. I would have appreciated a few more specials (there was only a fish of the day when I dined there on a Friday night)

This was the first time we visited Provinder, we had a great meal and the staff were a pleasure. My son is a chef and he was also impressed. We hope to go again very soon.

Excellent neighbourhood restaurant. This has become a go to place. Serious, unfussy food and an interesting wine list. Classic french cooking at its best. Recommended.

Everything from the atmosphere, service to the food and wine was great. We really enjoyed a relaxed and delicious meal at Provender. Also it's great value. We will definitely be visiting again.

Provender was a very nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. I was disappointed that they never said Happy Birthday to my 96 year old Mum who I had taken for her birthday despite me mentioning it at the time of booking and I also told the Waitress when we arrived. The food was good and not too expensive. The smoked salmon starter was delicious. Would definitely return again.

I've been here a number of times in the past. Again this time excellent food and attentive service as always. Good selection of choices on fixed price menu. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

Good quality no fuss food and service, we will definitely be going again. Waitress was very friend but not intrusive, enjoyed the Hereford Beef skewer would definitely be recommended!

Apart from the to do the maitre was quite rude. Food great bill quite high and service charge already on bill!!!will go again loo floor needs attention

Lovely dinner as always. Hors d'oeuvres Royale is delicious. I had the cod tonight, very nice. I love this restaurant. The waiting staff are fantastic and every choice is a good one.

Excellent and friendly service. The set menu was reasonably priced and fantastic quality. The creme brulee was cooked to perfection and the perfect end to a perfect meal.

Excellent fixed price lunch with service to match and certainly value for money. Air conditioning definitely helped as it was a very hot day. Ambiance added to the occasion as no music to distract . I'll certainly visit Provender in the future.

Welcomed warmly and at request seating re- arranged without question. The food was beautifully presented and quite delicious - from the seafood starter to the main where my steak was perfectly cooked, to the trifle, which was absolutely divine. Service was attentive, the waiting staff seemed pleased and proud to present the food to us. Always happy to go back to Provender.

Haven't been for some time after an underwhelming experience in the past, mostly thanks to a particularly pompous waiter. Much improved, great staff, lovely table outside and nice food. We live locally so will return. Thanks!

Lovely food, good service and menu choices for everyone. Vegetarians catered for which is unusual in a French eaterie. Casual dining experience, not rushed at all.

Great food and very busy on a Monday night, so booking recommended. Good value prix fixe. Service good even though busy.reasonable wine list too and a small outside area for the fine evenings.

Anotger wonderful meal at Provender. Food was excellent and service went abive and beyond. We will definitely return again glad to gave such a lovely restaurant i n our neighbourhood.

Had a lovely meal wonderful staff not too stuffy myself and hubby and two teen daughters all enjoyed the food and the ambience the background music kicked in and all was well😊

Booked for 4.45pm on a Saturday some of us picked the set menu and some didn't. The service was great, the food even better! All in all a very enjoyable meal.

Went here for lunch mid week. The food was great, had the fixed price lunch menu. Lovely place and lovely food on a sunny afternoon. Would visit again.

Excellent service and the starters were on point and amazing (steak tartare and ceviche). Duck was over done for me, which is why I did not score it top marks.

Proper French. Charcuterie, radishes, proper aperitifs like Noilly Prat, oldskool in the best way. Nice, modern feel. We went a la carte, not expensive but the prix fixe menu looks great value.

Nice little restaurant, good French food. We were a bit sceptical about this one at first, there are a lot of overpriced "French" restaurants in the UK, but it turned out to be good. We had a steak tartare, a fish soup, a souffle and some desserts (including café gourmand), everything was tasty. Nice wine too.

The staff were attentive from the beginning and the food was excellent. Water arrived to the table as soon as we sat down and was replenished regularly. A lovely experience.

Great food, decent service, very reasonable prices. Overall decor leaves a few things to be desired, and there are relatively few menu options for vegetarians.

Provender does very good food and is not too expensive. I particularly liked the Goats Cheese Salad and the Coupe de Glace. The lamb main course was also lovely but felt a touch under cooked to my taste.

Consistantly excellent food, service and ambience delivered at very reasonable prices. Provender, a short walk from Snaresbrook U/G station, must rate as the best restaurant in the area!

The service was very good and the food was well prepared and presented. The cheese soufflé was tasty if a little plain . The vichyssoise was very creamy but I like to taste more leek. Overall we had a lovely anniversary lunch.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious. The staff are attentive and efficient. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Definitely the place to come for a chilled out lunch with good friends. I highly recommend it.

Relaxed, friiendly atmosphere and excellent food. Always a pleasure to eat here. The smoked fish board has an excellent variety, the fillet of beef was cooked to perfection, and the cheese board has a good selection of French cheeses.

Fantastic food! We had the set menu which was great value - three decent sized courses for £16.50. The service was also very good. We will definitely being going back!

This was my second visit to Provender & every bit as good as the first with wonderful freshly prepared food. The ambience is relaxed but stylish with friendly, efficient staff, we'll definitely be returning soon.

Very nice French restaurant. Lots of staff and very good service. Prices were fairly reasonable. We visited on Saturday night and I would say that the majority of the clients were regulars. Good menu. The food was well cooked and we'll presented. We ordered from the a la carte menu but when we visit again we will try the prix fixé menu. Would recommend making reservations before visiting.
