Provender Cafe Bistro

We love Provender. The garlic bread is always excellent, saturated with delicious herby butter. We had a very cheap but delicious bottle of white wine and one of us had the very good value prix fixed menu, one a la carte. The creme caramel stood out for me. My husband's fish of the day, trout, was also excellent. We will definitely be back soon.

Always a fantastic dining experience at Provender, whatever time of the day. This time was no different - a very happy meal with family from round the world - thank you to the staff for the excellent service and quality of the meal!

An authentic French restaurant with excellent food and wine and friendly service. The set lunch menu offers a small but adequate range of fairly simple dishes which provide a delicious meal just right for the middle of the day. Watch out for the celeriac remoulade, which often comes as part of one of the starters and is delicious.

Lovely menu and food delivered was perfect. Service outstanding thoroughly enjoyable may want to ask to hold the salt a little if being picky. Highly recommend

Good food, well served on a nice round table and not too close to other diners; restaurant was busy but never felt neglected. This was a repeat booking of last year's birthday meal and looks like being repeated again in 2017 (though hope to visit before then!).

Excellent as always. Great food with good service. Didn't feel rushed at all. New Menu since thehe last time we went but still some of my favourites and some new ones as well. The choice of coffee or tea with a selection of mini desserts is now my favourite. Menu

Always enjoy going to Provender, the set menu is excellent value and the flatiron steak superb, good choice of starters try the garlic bread, the creme caramel on chocolate mouse a very good too

Excellent, non- intrusive group of waiters, good value prie fixee menu, nice music, good house red, and spare tables on Tuesday evening, even though we had booked . We shall come again

Very accommodation g when I requested table in quiet area at the back for a business meeting. Once there we asked to swap tables from square to round & staff sorted out in seconds ! Thank you! Lovely meal!

Classic French bistro fare. Great value, lovely service. Outside tables particularly nice on a balmy July evening. Fish especially good. Highly recommended. Will certainly return.

Great staff & customer services, the food was good but not as amazing as on a previous visit. I put this down to them being extremely busy on Fathers Day. Still very enjoyable great French wine :)

Great and deliciously tasty food with lots of options on the menue for adults as well as children. And not to mentions: the GREAT service!!! We will come back for more!

great food and the waitress was very helpful and accommodating of my dietary requirements. Even on a Monday night there was a good buzzy atmosphere.

First time here for a birthday celebration. A little bit of a journey from where I live - but compensated for by the great atmosphere, service and really good nosh. Definitely be back!

As always at this informal relaxed restaurant the food and service was excellent. As well as the usual French Fayre they provide an excellent Sunday Roast. Staff are polite and attentive and unobtrusive. Never had a poor meal here. An East End gem.

The food was very good and service excellent. Tap water was provided as soon as we sat down and replenished as required. The waiter recommended a good, modestly priced bottle of wine that complemented our food. A very enjoyable evening.

went here for a meal with a group of friends . The food was lovely , would highly recommend the roast chicken infused with lemon and herbs / side of gratin dauphinois . The staff were polite , attentive and professional.

Provender is a regular for us. The team are very attentive and friendly and of course excellent food. We will continue visit on a regular be sis.

We visited the restaurant on a very busy Saturday evening.That being said we had excellent attentive service. There was a very good varied menu and the food was perfectly cooked.The wine list was extensive and the 2 wines we had were of a high quality. Atmosphere was excellent although seating a trifle cramped and the decor somewhat unimaginative. Overall an excellent dining experience at a very reasonable price.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Been here a few times and I keep coming back for more. Would recommend for a relaxing meal on the day or you could make a night if it - lovely cocktails and wine.

Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Menu caters for all and wine list both varied and reasonable in price. Provender has become the most popular restaurant in Wanstead and has a growing list of regular diners.

Amazing food and service. I had The Croque Monsieur and they were able to make it gluten Free for me plus the staff were helpful with accommodating my baby's pram.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The food itself was decent - typical French bistro style (as it says on the tin!). The pork was quite dry, but the other dishes were well cooked.

A very pleasant and comfortable place to eat with well prepared food, variety, not too pricey, professional staff. It's one of our favourite places to eat.

Had a birthday lunch here. Lovely food served by polite and unintrusive staff. Shared the platter starter - very filling - followed by lemon sole with which we needed no more than the new potatoes.
