Special menu with paired wines the night we visited. Food was rich and delicious, perfect for a damp autumn evening. The wines were well chosen. The atmosphere is always good here - everyone enjoying the food and the company of their fellow diners.

As ever Provender didn’t disappoint. We went there to celebrate my birthday. Every dish was truly delicious with a great atmosphere and staff. It was so a first visit for two of the group who definitely want to to return. Thank you Provender.

Provender is a regular venue for our group of friends. Some travel a distance but it’s always worth it. Great menu. Relaxed and comfortable dining.

Salmon was fantastic and the best garlic bread ever! Very reasonably priced too!

It was a special birthday meal for my son in law, and he was extremely happy with his choices of alcohol and of mains. He never eats duck, but chose it and found it melt-in-the-mouth. My daughter's frites were a bit too plentiful, undercooked and rather greasy. She left most of them. And as for my own middle eastern veggie choices, I found the Imam Bayildi had very little of a Turkish feel about it, and the halloumi skewer could have done with a little more veg and smaller chunks of the cheese. The wine we had chosen was supposed to be a Pinot Noir, but although absolutely delicious, I called the waiter over to explain why the terms Pinot Noir were nowhere on the label. The answer was rather unsatisfactory, although politely and respectfully delivered.

We have had various family get-togethers at Provender in Wanstead, and everything has been consistently excellent. Special mention must go to the high quality of the food plus the impressively efficient and friendly service. We will definitely be back, and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to others.
