Another great meal. Service was quick. Food was execellent. We had one of the specials, which was very good. We will definitely return for another special meal.

This was our first time having dinner here after some spectacular brunches. The hype around this place is huge but I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the dinner. It was just fine - nothing spectacular. Service was good, friendly and efficient and a lovely wine selection, but food was just okay. I would strongly suggest going for breakfast/brunch as the pastries are Devine.

Very fine food - with good vegetarian options - and wine, superb service and, all in all, a great atmosphere! We will recommend this restaurant and return.

If you live in the area, or are willing to travel to the area, you need to try this place. The food is amazing, atmosphere is cosy and the staff are super. Thank you Provender!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere- what more could you ask for?! My husband and I regularly go for dinner at Provender - it is one of our most favourite restaurants and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and as always, the service and food was top notch from appertif through to coffee. I just love Provender's delicious food, especially the smoked fish platter as a starter with a cold glass of Provence rose`. Wonderful.

Superb quality food and service. Very impressed! I had the fillet steak and my wife had the vegetarian souffle. Nice bottle of cote du Rhône and a great ambience with no pretention. Very nice place.

Great ambience, menu range excellent and very nicely cooked and presented, plus good wine choices. Does feel a bit like being in a restaurant in France, and a bit superior to the average local.

I'm a regular at Provender and live locally. I have already reviewed it on this site and on others. My friends and I are grateful to have a high quality, friendly, affordable French restaurant where we can eat very good food and drink quality wine at our leisure and dream that we're in the heart of France, rather than being a few stops from home on the London tube.

As always, delicious Sunday roast - succulent chicken, great pork with perfect crackling. Very attentive and efficient service despite very busy time on farmer's market day. Live locally and always a treat to eat at Provender.

Lovely lunchtime menu - good value and excellent food. The atmosphere is busy without being too noisy so it's easy to chat. Service is excellent.

Great service but the roast wasn’t that tasty. Also, it needed more gravy. Only had a couple of vegetables to choose from. I’d stick to their normal menu, which is delicious.

Excellent food service and ambience. The lunch time set menu is great value. The à la carte offers lots of choice for all. And near the tube.

All 3 courses that I and my friend eat were very well prepared and executed, the service was quick and efficient and the food tasted delicious. The only minor issues were with the toilets, no hot water and a slightly unpleasant odour.

On two recent occasions we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Excellent service and delicious food and wine. The restaurant is attractive and the atmosphere is very nice - even on a Monday lunchtime it was full!

Helpful and friendly staff. Good food arrived in good time, but we didn’t feel rushed at all. Not too busy but still a nice environment. Reasonably priced - service charge is included but as we were a group we didn’t mind this.

I went there for dinner and had a monkfish it was superb and the service was excellent. I will be back. Also, their set menu is a such a good deal it is excellent quality.

Another fabulous meal at Provender. We went on New Year's eve for the special menu. The choices available were spot on (basically everything sounded amazing - and was). Our party of 4 had different starters, mains and desserts and everyone agreed it was all top class - really well done to the chef(s) . I had the beef main course which was absolutely divine. I always tend to think that special menus can be a bit disappointing, especially on a special occasion like this where the restaurant was busy and had had two sittings. But, no, Provender surpassed itself yet again. Never anywhere else have I had such consistently excellent food. And the service on New year's Eve was superb too. The team worked really well together, all under the watchful eye of the manager (sorry I don't know your name but you know who you are so thank you for such great service!) and they looked great with their bow ties! A fabulous evening, thank you to the Provender team.

Brilliant. Good food , service , friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Prices are very readonable , table when arrived and the house wine was very good.

Good food, but PLEASE we need FULL LENGTH mirror in toilets. Ladies like to check their outfits! Current mirror, so tiny, just about see face

Always charming and welcoming. Food is great - like being in France, without the hassle. Good ambiance - not pretentious - just a really really nice place to eat! I'd strongly recommend it.

Great value for money. 3 courses of delicious food. The steak au frite was exceptional, probably one of the best and perfectly cooked I can ever recall. Very good service too. Just a delight and one of my favourite local restaurants.

Fantastic. 4 female friends. Exceptional food as usual. One of my friends travelled 50 miles and said it was well worth it. Very polite and friendly staff but not overpowering. The best restaurant in Wanstead.

Another excellent mesl. The only negative was that they were out of half the main courses at 6.30pm (albeit on a Sunday evening). We will definitely return.

We use this restaurant regularly because of location and relatively easy parking (even just before Christmas!). Always a friendly welcome and good food. Particularly enjoyed the vegetable tagine.

Consistently good food, wine and service. A good atmosphere, interesting surroundings and always a good experience. I would recommend it to everyone, if you want a meal just for 2 or for a bigger party, it is well worth it.

Service very good as usual but some of the food not so good. The aubergine starter and garlic were just excellent. The cod was good but lacked a little flavour and the veal - well there was a moment when my friend felt it wasn’t quite right but actually it most likely just the preparation that was used - I think it was red wine. Despite this I would go again and again and again - cannot recommend it enough - I have previously always rated them 6 but just because of the options we went with in this occasion weren’t the best on their menu.

As usual. lovely food, with good service and a relaxing atmosphere. Provender is great ,in that you can rely on food quality, a warm welcome and a generally lovely dining experience.
