Putney Pies London

This is my 3rd time here and i LOVE it! Great tasting pies, cool rustic venue and on a weekend great tunes are played downstairs in the vaults. Highly recommend, a great twist to a pie restaurant, awesome sides too!

The best pie shop and an amazing atmosphere with friendly staff. Their Christmas mince pie brownie is exceptional and it's a shame it isn't available all year round!

Excellent service, stands this restaurant out from other pie destinations. The food was good too - although perhaps more vegetarian pie options (there is only one) and maybe a vegetarian sausage option would see my review to a 6 out of 6. I will be back, especially to try one of the old school Dj nights in the vault.

Great food for very reasonable prices and wonderful atmosphere. Love the downstairs bar and it was perfect to visit after our meal upstairs. Will be back soon!

Superb as usual, the ham hock to start was a tasty treat followed by pie of the day (Rabbit & Bacon) and some wonderful veggies. Can also highly recommend the Bacardi 8YO on the rocks.

Another great dinner at Putney Pies. Fast, friendly service and high quality food and drink. Definitely recommend dinner here. The best pies in London hands down!

Lovely atmosphere, lovely food, great service. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back again to try the whole menu! Highly recommend the mushy peas as a side.

Delicious food and really great setting. We all had different pies and everyone loved theirs. They even do takeaway which is a nice add on.

Great atmosfear and amazing pies :) The staff is really friendly and extremely helpful. A great place to enjoy really good food. The decor is really interesting and improves the overall atmosfear. Will go back again soon.

Lovely food, great service. Recommend the steak and ale pie, toad in the hole and salted caramel brownie for pudding. Reservation is a must in the evening.

Good pies and friendly staff. It was quieter than expected, maybe due to the bank holiday, which meant that the atmosphere wasn't as cosy as it could have been. Would definitely go back though.

Superb pie, mash, and gravy. My side of greens were cooked to perfection. I will definitely be returning soon for more - this was badly need in West London.

Lovely little find in Putney, amazing food, great service. Don't think I can eat pies anywhere else now!! Never had so much meat in a pie! Amazing starters too not that you need one with the size of the main course

Love Putney Pies - the food is fantastic and their range of wine and beers is great. But since moving to it's location across from Putney Bridge the atmosphere has been lost. It's too small, and whilst not 'formal' by any stretch of the imagination, it's not especially relaxing. It used to be a very informal, jolly and lively (but not too much) place to eat when it was situated on the Upper Richmond Road. It's a great shame that vibe has been lost.

My boyfriend, housemate and I had booked a table for 9pm on Wed 25th May. We spent ages discussing how excited we were to go and what food we were going to order but unfortunately this never happened. Upon our arrival we were told our table was downstairs, as walked down the stairs we were hit with a wave of noise. As we walked into the downstairs dining area we found a live band playing (well i may add) but the volume was almost unbearable. There was no way the three of us could sit down there to enjoy our evening meal. I feel when booking the table we should have been notified that we would be seated downstairs and that you wouldn't be able to hear / talk to the people you were dining with. Unfortunately there were no other tables available and we left disappointed and hungry.

A lovely Sunday lunch as usual. Tried some great new beers and the beef Wellington - fantastic! Looking forward to summer lunches outside on the green.

Great addition to Putney. Very good quality food and great decor/atmosphere. Would recommend and will visit again when the planned outside area work is finished.

Fab evening had as always at Putney pies. Great food and lovely services. Best pie in London.,.. in fact the world. Cannot wait to go back.

Good food, good atmosphere. Great place of your looking for something small, with a lot of personality. Young crowd downstears. Also good veggie options, surprisingly.

Good range of choices. Good portions. Good service. Ideal neighbourhood restaurant and such a change to get predominantly English food. We will be going back.

This is a fabulous little quirky place & downstairs on a Saturday night is cool with dj playing & a good atmosphere. Food is great, really delicious

This is my second visit and no as memorable sadly. Food was good, service poor. The waitress seemed to be somewhere else and wasn't interested in customer service. Shame as its a nice venue

The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and we were treated very well. The service was good, and the food was very tasty. I would definitely recommend it, and would return to the restaurant.

Fantastic food, would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. The smell of pastry in the air as you walk in gives you an idea of what is to come. The menu gives you a wide choice and when the food arrives we were not disappointed. Great choice of craft beers and wine to accompany as well. We were sat downstairs and the setting was very cool and the background music and buzz amongst the tables made for a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

Great food, good atmosphere for a Tuesday evening. Spinach and feta filo wrap to start was lovely and the Green Thai Chicken curry pie which followed was full of flavour.

Great starters-the scotch eggs are amazing. All pies and sides were excellent, particularly the chicken and ham hock pot pie. Good value for quality and location.

Have lived in Putney for a while & only just ventured down to Putney Pies, regret the delay now! - one of the best pies I've ever had! Would definitely recommend to family & friends

A great little find in Putney with such a unique, reasonably priced menu. Service knocked full marks - could've been more attentive. Food was great!

It was lovely to come in from the pouring rain and dark and upon opening the door, the smell of steaming hot pies being cooked greeted you. Had the steak, ale and Stilton which was lovely; my husband had the venison hot pot - personally too meaty for me - I would have prefered it if it had more potato/pastry accommpanying it.

Always fantastic quality food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Upstairs feels intimate and there is a real party atmosphere downstairs. The pies are to die for, generous servings and a flawless menu. We return on a regular basis.

The food was good and the service friendly. Only issue is the acoustics in the down stairs bar. Impossible to converse with people sitting opposite you. This was however detailed on the website.

It was convenient to book online. We had a wonderful evening at Putney Pies! Delicious! I would definitely recommend Quandoo and Putney Pies. Do it!

The underground bar downstairs had a great atmosphere, quirky little bunker bar. The restaurant upstairs served delicious pies, I can highly recommend the aubergine pie!

Along wait and my side dish arrived even later,feeling that the food was good, service friendly and downstairs vibe was nice. Definitely going back again.

Slightly disappointing 5th visit last night. We ordered the special starter of the day and after waiting 15 minutes or so, were told that they had run out - that was at 7.30pm! We then ordered two different starters to be told that one of them wasn't available either! My husband ordered a Guiness beer to drink - when it was brought it was the same replacement beer that he had had in November, but he wasn't told this when it was brought. Apparently they are still waiting for a delivery....Service was also incredibly slow, though we did receive a 'loyalty' discount off our bill at the end.

Went with friends for a pre Xmas get together. Great service and great food. also a goods selection of beers! Would go again and would recommend to anyone who loves a pie.

Always a happy experience at Putney Pies. Great atmosphere both upstairs, in the restaurant and down in the vault which has the same menu and often live music after 10pm. Staff friendly and welcoming, food really good, interesting range of beers and nice wines.

Very nicely decorated, friendly staff, the understanding of English could have been a little better from our server. The portions of food are WAY too big, but all in all we will go again and not order any starters.

GREAT FOOD! Tasty cocktails, Great atmosphere and lovely accommodating staff. An all round great winter warmer. I cannot wait to go back and try something different from the menu.

Very good and affordable food. Had the spiced mutton pie from the specials board - highly recommended. Good selection of drinks available and venue was very accomodating for pushchairs.

The staff was very friendly, the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, and good service. The pies were fresh and very good. Very extensive menu with a lot of drink and food choices.
