Riddle me not, Que Me is a straight up Stroud Green Southeast Asian restaurant and all-round pho-nomenal Vietnamese soup specialist within a summer roll’s lob of Crouch End and Finsbury Park stations. The chef-owner of this eye-catching, bright green restaurant up on Stroud Green Road has over twenty years experience in the kitchen, but a lot more experience travelling around Vietnamese culinary hotspots in search of the perfect pho. Hue, Hanoi, Saigon-style – you name it, he’s slurped it – and bringing back the best elements of each regional variation to his adopted hometown, he’s made sure that a good portion of the thunder has been stolen from East London’s oversubscribed ‘Pho Mile’ with his expert bowl of lemongrassy goodness. Naturally, very naturally, there’s a lot more on the menu for you to explore – pho-get about the rest, book the best!
Good food. Very friendly staff and a wonderful environment. They made my mum's birthday extra special, will definitely recommend as a place of choice in Finsbury Park.
Every time we come back here there is always something different and tasty to try on the menu, the summer rolls are a must try!
This is our fourth visit here and the food was excellent, as before. Especially the crispy sea bream. The service is always friendly and helpful.
The best Vietnamese food I have eaten in London so far, the staff are always really friendly too! Really authentic and fresh, would definitely recommend.
We are a Vietnamese family living in Holloway and have eaten in many Vietnamese restaurants in London, Paris and Vietnam so have high standards. We wholeheartedly recommend Que Me for it's food, value for money and service. I eat their with my 93 year old father almost weekly and he thinks the Pho is very good (he has it with beef cooked well-done). We came yesterday in a party of 14 and the waiter was friendly and helpful and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. The owners are also very welcoming and friendly. Their set lunch is fantastic value. They do a very good banh cuon, banh xeo, bun and nem. We tried the duck yesterday and it was very tender and tasty.
Que Me is relatively new in Stroud Green, but with a very experienced team and fantastic chef who together have worked in Vietnamese restaurants in N London for years. The food is excellent - fragrant, with lime-infused salads, great stiry freid chicken and delicisous pork in a caramel sauce in the claypot. Wine is a good selection and inexpensive. The service was welcoming and friendly - definitely a place to return to often to try out the long and varied menu. Only a few minutes' walk from Finsbury Park tube for a taste of Hanoi....
I have eaten consistently well here. The pho is always a good test of any Vietnamese restaurant, particularly the broth. At Que Me, the broth is light, clear and flavourful of star of anise and beef bones. Very good quality. Particular favourites are the banh cuon, pork mince wrapped in rice flour, and the bun (vermicelli) with crispy spring roll and grilled pork. The two course lunch for about £8 is great value. The decor - hand painted scenes of the Vietnamese countryside - and the Vietnamese music make for a pleasant ambience. A great addition to Stroud Green Road.
Que Me is a lovely little Vietnamese restaurant that has meals that are delicious and fresh. the staff were welcoming and very lovely. Would definitely recommend it
Incredible food, amazing flavours. The staff are helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is easy and relaxed. I really enjoyed this Que Me and would highly recommended it.
Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We asked the friendly person serving us to tell us if we were over-ordering and she removed one side dish and and extra portion of rice and we found we had about the right amount. We'll definitely be going back there!
