Warm welcome from staff. Drinks and food order taken promptly. Delivered promptly too. Quality of food was excellent. A brief chat with the owner was a nice touch.

All was very good. Just waited a bit to get served. Had to ask to get our drinks order taken then again to get the food order taken. After that, service was very good.

The restaurant was surprisingly busy on a Monday night and there was a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and the meals we all chose were delicious!

The food and service were lovely and it was good value for money. However, the restaurant itself is very tired looking and definitely in need of a refurb. The toilets were a bit grubby, which would put me off going back there. Shame because the food is really good.

We were given a very nice corner table, service was very friendly and the food was great! Both the chicken and the fish were perfectly roasted/grilled: Not too long, still tender on the inside. Overall a great experience.

Food excellent, gluten free menu extensive which makes eating out much more pleasurable, service lovely - just the right balance if efficient, friendly and knowledgable. A highlight.

Service was very attentive but not pushy , food was sublime , and great value for money . An excellent dining experience. Only slight black mark was that the decor looks tired , the odd tear in seats , but we'd thoroughly recommend the Red Onion , and look forwards to returning

All in all fab meal great value ,service and atmosphere lovely will be back !

Great lunch out; we were visiting for the day & booked after looking at the menus online. We really enjoyed the varied choices, quality of food & service. The restaurant had a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

It's been a while since we last visited and the food didn't disappoint. Great flavours, deliciously cooked, cheerful helpful staff. We won't leave it so long next time.

its nice to goto a restaurant ware the owner cooks the meals and said hello, Been wanting to come here for a while but was always booked out ! we opted for the pre theater menu had the french onion soup and paid the £3 supplement for the steak followed by chocolate brownie , well tasty hopefully be back again soon
