Excellent meal. Very generous portion sizes and amazing prompt service.

Nice relaxed surroundings. Very good menu and food prepared and cooked very well

Staff were very attentive. Food choice was good. Food was served hot and tasted excellent.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, food was excellent and service was great, we had a lovely leisurely lunch we werent rushed in any way. Would thoroughly recommend the restaurant and the quality of the food. We have dined there many times and it is one of our favourites

Food was lovely and service excellent. Only issue was that we asked for extra hot coffees and when they arrived they were definitely not hot.

Everything about this restaurant ticks all the boxes for us , that’s why we always return .

Service and food from start to finish was second to none. Scallops and chorizo for starter followed by shin of beef with black pudding mash. Both dishes were fabulous 👌 Peanut butter cheesecake was also superb.

Really lovely restaurant with a great vibe. The food was fabulous and very good value. We also had a very good bottle of Chardonnay. Friendly staff and good service - you can't ask for more.

We used an Itison voucher for a 2 course meal for two. The food was okay but not particularly special and I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price for it. Perhaps the a la carte menu is better.

Delicious good. Full vegan menu was a delight. All 3 courses did not disappoint. 5 Stars from me.

We have visited Red Onion many times and as before the food was still delicious. The only gripe we had that the waitress who greeted us at the door could have been a bit more pleasant. She seemed to be like this with most customers

Really lovely food as always. Tremendous portion sizes & the wine was amazing.

Arranged to meet up with a friend from Portugal who’s over and a mutual local friend. They both have food intolerances and the chef was able to accommodate their needs, swapping to ingredients they could eat without getting ill. All our meals were lovely and the ambience was nice, not too loud and plenty of space.

So happy they have great vegan options. Vegan Macaroni is sublime!

This was a business lunch and it was very good. I have been in the Red Onion quite a number of times and I have never been disappointed.

I am gluten free so it was great to have a separate menu and be treated like all other diners. The food was lovely and the staff were excellent. We’ll definitely go back.

Superb quality food, matched by an excellent server who went out of her was to help us as my husband has mobile issues.
