The food was good but we were there with an offer which had a separate menu - smaller and cheaper than the std a la carte menu. When we were finished and went to pay we were charged at the a la carte price. When we queried, £25 was knocked off the price - but was still expensive.

Excellent itison two course meal, great choice of dishes and good service

First visit on a colleague’s recommendation. I wasn’t disappointed. From the initial interaction with John the owner to the final goodbye the service was excellent. The set menu was superb value and choice was great. I had bang bang chicken followed by the Spanish pork. Both of which were fantastic. Will definitely be back

Had dinner at Red Onion last night to celebrate our daughters birthday, service and food both fantastic as usual. Can't wait to be back in Glasgow and visit again.

Have visited various restaurants in Glasgow recently for a 2 course lunch and it is by far the best. Perhaps had to wait a little longer but worth it to eat lovely tasty food. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely food and great value with itison deal, haven’t been in a while but it was just perfect for lunch with an elderly Aunt.

Enjoyed our visit and will definitely return again. Friendly, helpful staff and good quality food beautifully presented. Good ambience in comfortable surroundings - only disappointment was slightly tired decor (ripped covering on back of booth searing) and ladies toilets left things to be desired (too tight space wise and not the cleanest). Nevertheless an enjoyable meal and will happily return/recommend.

Fresh delicious food. We had the 3 course pre theatre meal, could not fault. Service fantastic, staff wonderful, and some lovely music - so nice to listen to throughout our meal, please don’t change this. Excellent all round, we can’t wait to come back!

Food was lovely and the staff were very friendly but carpet on the stairs and the leather on the seats needs replaced, looks tired. We were out for our anniversary but two courses and coffee and were out in an hour, felt we were rushed.

We had a very enjoyable evening as always at Red Onion. We shall certainly be back soon!

La cuisson du canard était parfaite et la sauce accompagnant le poulet, ail et citron, excellente. Le service était parfait et le personnel très agréable. nous recommandons vivement.

Been a few times to Red Onion with the itison deal great value for money , the food is lovely and good sized portions. Will definitely need to try going and eating from the a la carte menu . Staff are all lovely

Amazing choice for me on their vegan menu and for my partner on the regular menu. Service was incredible. Lovely staff. Can't believe I hadn't been sooner.

Even although we had a voucher, the food was fab and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. First time we've visited but we'll definitely be back.

Lunch today was excellent. Very good, friendly service and delicious food for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The food was rather disappointing and dull for the price. The soup wasn't particularly hot. Fishcakes a bit dry. The vegan menu relied too much on fake meat type of food. It was just a bit uninspiring and a bit canteen like. The service was ok. Don't think I'd visit again.
