Red Onion is consistantly excellent on all fronts - food, ambiance and staff So many variations of menus to suit all tastes and prices and food and tasts are amazing so would highly recommend

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and amazing staff. 4 of us for dinner and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their 3 course meal. Also, initially booked the wrong time on a busy Saturday night and the staff were accommodating and managed to change our booking without complaint. Very good service.

Excellent service and food. Simple but elegantly served food in pleasant surroundings. Even though the restaurant was quiet (cold Monday night) the venue still managed to create a warm atmosphere. Very impressed!

Fabulous food, lovely venue, great waiting staff, very pleasant and chatty - a real treat, we all loved it. Thanks ti the sous chef for coming up and chatting with my daughter about her allergies and for making a beautiful meal just for her. All the meals were scrumptious. To improve We were a bit nervous at first as we had said she was coeliac (as well as allergies) and the chef offered her something with barley in. But it got better. Also the toilets let the venue down.

The restaurant wasn't overly busy but put at a seat in the corner with a pole behind me. Had booked restaurant a few weeks in advance so would have expected a better seat. Food was lovely. Toilets could do with a bit of a refresh.

We had alovely meal at Red Onion! Staff were friendly and helpful and, although busy, spent time having a short chat with us between courses. The atmosphere and decor were very good. The food was excellent! Good value for money.

Excellent friendly service and lovely atmosphere. My friend and I ordered the chicken and vegan korma respectively, and we both agreed they were delicious. Will definitely be back!

Excellent food and service - Thank you. Had three courses all were well presented and very tasty. Staff were cheery and helpful. Restaurant much busier than we expected for a Monday at 5pm and atmosphere was good.

Great place for vegan food in glasgow amongst other great Verity of menus, highly recommend visiting this place especially if you have a vegan, vegetarian in your dining party.

Red Onion is a safe bet for food. Funky menu, friendly surroundings and great service and value. One tiny criticism is that the house red could be doing with being a bit fuller bodied, but that’s just my taste I guess. Still, loved the food and always enjoy going there!

An excellent night with exceptional food. We went as a surprise 60th for my mum and we coulded have asked for nicer food staff or ambiance I would throughly recommend having a steak which had a better flavour and texture than both miller and carther&the butchers block (both of which are high-end steakhouses) 10/10

In Excellent choice on menu. Portions more than adequate and food beautifully cooked and presented. Pleasant atmosphere - ideal for a relaxed Sunday lunch. Prices reasonable.

Poor table having pre-booked. Bit rushed at start, bones in chicken starter but second half saved the day and ended in a relaxed atmosphere. Been before and will go back again.

Enjoyed the food very much. The pre theatre menu is tremendous value for money and the service from staff was excellent. If you are thinking about going to the Red Onion go ahead and book. I cannot imagine it would disappoint.

We had lunch on Saturday afternoon, the meal was excellent and the service was very good everything we had was of the highest standard and the atmosphere was very laid back and very enjoyable

We met here for a family reunion with cousins and relatives from Canada, England and Scotland who do not see one another too often. The venue was first class, the food and service was beyond expectations and it was obviously the right choice for us. Highly recommended in all aspects for a good evening.

Lovely restaurant, good atmosphere and quick service. Only issue was vegan brownie was lacking but apart from that a must try for any family with a range of dinning preferences as the vegan, fish and meat options are all fantastic.

Staff incredibly helpful. Our party of four had two gluten free people (one a vegan and one omnivore), and two vegetarians, one of whom is sugar and wheat free. The lovely person serving us produced a number of different menus and was pleasant and intelligently helpful

Great menu - lots of choice. Food excellent and staff very helpful. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and although it was busy we weren’t rushed at all. We will definitely be back

Food was terrific & service from staff was also terrific. Would've been a full 6 out of 6 but the Gents toilet was pretty unclean, stank & there was a massive gap at side of cubicle door which was big enough for you to see out & other folk to see in.

The same menu they have had for a long time, however I cannot fault the quality and taste of the food served. If you want a guaranteed enjoyable meal out then Red Onion is the place to go.

Great food and service in a restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and a buzz about it. Great to have somewhere to go with a full gluten free menu and not just a few options. Makes this a favourite.

It's always wonderful to be offered a vegan menu rather than one or two options. The bang bang avo salad was a great balance of flavour and texture, and the risotto was the only genuinely delicious vegan risotto I've ever eaten. Total bargain too. Will definitely visit again.

Vegan menu is great, one of the best in Glasgow. Service was perfect and the restaurant itself is really nice and cosy. Great for a post shopping meal

Four of us had pre theatre meal on Sunday evening before Christmas. Food and service were excellent and amazing value for money. Would definitely return.

Amazing choice for allergies and vegans. Lovely atmosphere and friendly waiting staff. Had a great time and will definitely be back! Please bring back the vegan haggis Bon Bons as these were a firm favourite!

Really enjoyable lunch, nice choices on the menu and the food tasted great. Service was very good, with nice welcome from our server. Relaxed atmosphere was a lovely break from busy shopping areas. Will go back in the evening.

Great casual atmosphere, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent! Highly recommend the trio of bon bons starter, and the "deluxe" beefburger. Yum.

Excellent food, excellent service, a thoroughly enjoyable experience... Except for.. Both male and female toilets were unclean. This was lunchtime... A full afternoon and evening ahead.
