Great food , wine and service as always , been going for years as a family and with friends and always have the best night , thank you

Food was good as usual. but service not so good,we ordered rice with one of our dispensing waitress had to come Back to table and ask if we would like to order rice?'I had to ask for water and also had to ask for sugar after ordering coffee. These items. should be offered regardless of whether needed or not.Still enjoyed my meal

Nowhere near as good as the Loon Fung. Plastic covered Menus look cheap, and seemed nearly worn out: they seriously let down the impression you should want to give. I've seen better in "greasy spoon cafes". Service very attentive, though.

Works night out for 16 of us and they gave us a really good space. Food was Devine and the festive menu was only £11.50 per head!! Great, quick service especially for a Saturday night. Will be back!!

I have been to the Rendezvous many times over the past 35 yrs I never need to look a the Menu as i know what my choice will be I was so disappointed that the recipe for the Crispy Shredded chili beef has been changed since i was last there The beef was much thicker and the coating on the beef was different and It now seems it is the same as all other chinese restuarants so I will not be ordering it again

Had been meaning to try Rendezvous for ages and finally got round to it, so glad we did. The food was really lovely. According to some previous reviews the service wasn't up to much but I disagree, the two servers were very pleasant and efficient even when it got really busy. Will definitely eat here again especially with the lunch menu being so good value for money and I have already recommended to friends and family!

First rate way to book a table in Edinburgh wouldn,t hesitate to use it again and recommend it to friends especially good for this busy time of year

Excellent food, excellent service, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful in a very busy restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed a lovely night out.

Excellent food and generous portions. Just a bit eager trying to take your plates between courses and staff not communicating with each other but very friendly. Definitely go again.

Fantastic food, in a relaxed atmosphere with great service. The steamed dumplings and crispy duck were superb and the grilled chicken was really tasty (as were the other dishes we had).

Food was of good quality, plentiful and service was great. Restaurant was quite busy and had a good atmosphere. Can't fault it. Will definitely return.

Food was average compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Starter came within minutes of ordering which usually makes me feel it is all pre cooked and reheated. The main course was equally quick and in all we were "turned around" in under an hour!! Disappointing as we have eaten here before and have always enjoyed it.

Excellent food served efficiently. Always seems to be busy but food served promptly. My kids love coming here, an Edinburgh institution and well worth a visit.

Excellent food. A good experience for lovers of Chinese cuisine. The only criticism would be the entrance and stairs to the restaurant. Very dilapidated and shabby. Not a good first impression. However, once inside a very attractively set up dining area.

The food and service were excellent but afraid the ladies toilets left a lot to be desired. I would go again and hopefully it was a one off

the food was delicious and the service was fast too. For a lunchtime £7.99 set menu there is a great choice and staff were willing to swap dishes for other meats at our request.

Superb service, efficient and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Delicious food and cocktails. Reasonably priced. A popular restaurant on a Saturday night, so I recommend booking in advance.

Not been here for years. Myself and my partner booked a meal for 9pm I thought it was a bit late but it was lovely still people in but not overcrowded which I prefer overall great favourite of mine.

Food was amazing as always. Restaurant was full but service was as good as ever. Will be back very soon for sure. Thanks for a great night.

I have been to the Rendevous Chinese Restaurant many times over a number of years. I have always found the service and quality of the food to be consistently high. In addition, the staff are very friendly. Overall, great value for money.

Excellent food and service. I would Highly recommend eating here. Did not have the meal for 2 but at £19.99 very good value for money.

always good, best Chinese in Edinburgh (and i'm a journalist, not used to giving praise lightly)! Book ahead, especially for weekends. Set menu for £30 is superb.

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh. I've been eating there on and off for around 30 years and it never disappoints. Nice decor, friendly, attentive (not too attentive) staff and great food all add up to make a fantastic dining experience.

Excellent as always, great food, friendly attentive staff. Just a minor point, I think the wine list could have a bit more choice but for the West End what they have is good value.

Had booked a table and they put us in dark table near the kitchen. The food is delicious thought proportions small and when took a plate we meat it was non existant. Howe ver there was a good qualité-prix

I have been a few times to the Rendezvous Chinese Restaurant and cannot fault the excellent service and food. The staff take your order quickly and efficiently and the food is served very quickly and is always piping hot. The menu is extensive and very tasty. Would recommend (and have done) to friends and family and continue to go there as it is one of my favourites.

Food usually really good here but last nights food was bland and the service was terrible! I think the guy who is the manager was on holiday and the staff were lost and made many mistakes!

The food was Amazing, the service ws first class, the atmosphere was buzzing and overall it was very fairly priced for a city centre location. We will be coming back again for sure

Had dinner with 3 friends at The Rendezvous last night. Enjoyed it. Good food, attentive waiters (despite the place being packed). Prices are pretty good for Edinburgh. The decor is quite nice too now that it has been revamped.

Food was fantastic but unfortunately some of our friends had almost finished eating by the time everyone's had arrived. We were only a party of six so I would have expected everyone to get their order at the same time.

Last night was the first time in four years that I had been to Edinburgh and to Rendevous - just as good as I remembered it!

Nothing too fancy here, just a good, well run, traditional Chines restaurant, serving good food. It's city center so it's no surprise the prices are a bit more than many places, but it's still good value.

First impressions on entering not good cracked tiles on floor walls grubby hopefully there are plans to re - do the enterence. The restaurant was very welcoming decor warm & inviting Food was excellent, service was very good.

The Rendezvous never fails to meet expectations. Excellent food and great service in lovely surroundings. We will keep on returning for a great sociable family evening.

Ate in the evening.The food was excellent as was the service. The restaurant was full and there was a great atmosphere. All in all a great night.

Excellent service and good food ,you need to book this restaurant as it has got busy , probably because it's the best Chinese around that part of Edinburgh
