Great food and great service. Will definitely go there again.

As usual, the Sunday buffet offering here is of a very high standard, with a good selection of choices available. Even with the slightly higher price than previously, it's still excellent value.

The position on the river is excellent and has it's own car park. We prefer to walk. Excellent service and good quality food. Never been let down. We often go with friends who are curry connoisseurs who also rate it highly

Food was good, the proprietor was charming, and it's in a really nice river setting. Just don't let them order you a taxi - mine was twice the price of a black-cab, well into the taking-a-liberty domain.

Food was excellent as always, so is the setting, a lovely restaurant. Service was slow & staff non attentitive tonight and it wasn't that busy.

Great food good service Just felt like the place was looking tired and windows looking out to river desperately needed cleaning. Apart from that all good.

Excellant service combined with a varied menue and wide choice meats and fish. Try the excellant Indian red and white wines. The venue overlooking the thames is an added bonus.

Really good meal at River Spice restaurant. The staff were very friendly and curtiuous. The table was well positione near the window. The food was varied and tasty. Will be going back again :)

Nothing has changed, still excellent service, excellent food and excellent atmosphere, the staff are fantastic and very friendly, they cant do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. I cant wait to go back

The prawn shaslick was superb and everything we ordered was very good. The service is always excellent and the staff friendly as well as efficient.

Very nice food, prompt service , drinks & poppadoms were a bit slow to appear and I t was hard getting someone’s attention to reorder drinks. The tables were very close together and it felt like you were encroaching in o,their people at times.

Great food as always and a really friendly service which is excellent value for money. I had one of the signature dishes which was really lovely. Also great for anyone needing gluten free choices.

Lovely meal. Calm and relaxed riverside atmosphere. The staff were very courteous and attentive. We will definitely go again and highly recommend this restaurant .

The food was lovely and the ambience was nice, but, on the Saturday evening we went, the service was very, very slow. I would visit again, but perhaps not at a peak time.

Always have a great experience here, best curry in Reading IMO. If you are veggie try the paneer shashlick, it's not on the menu but is delicious!

Like to vote 0 When we arrived we were told sorry private party, so no table. Miles from anywhere, no transport, think they owe me a free meal.

Very nice food, however had to wait over an hour for it as we ordered from the menu on a Sunday when they have the buffet. Expensive for drinks, lemonade just poured from a plastic £1:00 bottle and didn't even pour me a full glass. Will visit again as the food is very nice.

Second time going and We really enjoyed it just as much as the first time great food , great and staff it was very busy which is a good sign.

We have visited this restaurant several times. The food is always great and the staff very attentive and friendly. Last nights visit (Christmas Eve) was no exception and we all had a lovely meal. This is always our go to Indian dining venue.

The food is always amazing and fairly priced. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Nicely decorated inside and the views of the Thamea are lovely.

It’s been a while since we were at River Spice, and the greeting was as warm & enthusiastic as ever. The food is always so well presented, fresh and made with good quality ingredients. Add that to the prompt yet unhurried service and it makes for a great dining experience. River Spice remains one of our favourite dining spots in Reading. Highly recommended and good value.

Excellent meal. The menu was exciting and had many unusual choices on it - especially for duck or fish eaters Exceptional staff. Looks fabulous inside - do not be put off by the exterior . Lovely river views

Our group had not gone on a Sunday Buffet before and we would thoroughly recommend it especially for anyone who may be venturing into the world of new cuisine as our son was. There was a good choice of dishes plus plenty of sides including lots of vegetarian options. We have eaten here before with friends ordering from the main menu but would definitely say the quality does not diminish on the buffet offerings.

Usually very good service and food but it was very busy so we had to wait for our mains and drinks .They did say at the end they were a couple of staff down so that could be the reason why .Food very good and location excellent Will go back again
