My sister and I arranged to meet a cousin who we seldom see at the Royal William IV for lunch. My cousin lives in Lincoln, hadn't eaten there before but had heard good reports. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and good value, especially the two course deal. We will all recommend it.

We've eaten here quite a few times now and have always received excellent service and good food.

Unfortunately we did have to wait quite a while for our meal as it was so busy , but the meal was fantastic and we never complained about the wait at all it wasn’t ever mentioned . When the bill arrived the waitress told us she had taken the first round of drinks off the bill cos of the wait . That was a lovely thing to do ! We will Be back!

Lovely friendly staff, good relaxed atmosphere. Meal disappointing though. I chose the pot roast beef. Meat was tough and mash was questionable. Seems a shame that in Lincolnshire you suspect the mash was out of a packet. Saved by the green vegetables which were fabulous.

The portion sizes were small, but the bill was expensive. We were hoping to get 20 per cent discount with cinema ticket offer. Although the table was booked for 5 o’clock we couldn’t claim the discount because we hadn’t ordered before 5pm. Disappointed!

Great place with lovely homemade food..been several times and never let down

We waited in excess of 30 minutes for our meal but it was worth the wait. The food was excellent.

Came for a roast dinner. My partner had beef and his only comment was that two small slices of beef wasn’t quite enough. I had belly of pork. It was incredibly fatty. I like the fat bu could have been more meat. Otherwise it was delicious xx

We had the burger and although it was ok the whole plate looked and tasted a little disappointing compared to similar dishes in other pubs. However what has put us off going back is the state of the female toilets. There was no toilet roll in one cubicle and the sanitary bins were both full to the point they were overflowing onto the floor. This may just have been a bad day for the pub but we did not enjoy the visit here as much as we have previously.

Brief and unbearable. Nice looking pub, waitresses friendly, but they only had the 'sunday menu' on (fair enough as I must have missed that when we were looking at the 'main menu' on the website). However, given that it was the sunday menu it was a little surprising to be told first off that there was no chicken roast dinner, as we would have thought if there'd been nothing else you'd have at least have had that. The clincher though was to be sat at our table to the booming din of the pubs music system competing with the awful noise coming from the sweet van parked outside the open side doors! The rest of the menu offerings being decidedly uninspiring, we paid for our drinks and left. Probably a lovely pub for a drink when music decibel levels are below o2 arena heavy metal concert levels, but as for a meal, that's a definite no no.

Only ever been to this pub/ restaurant for drinks wow I’ve been missing out The menu is British with fantastic vegetarian menu hats off to the chef For a fantastic menu and wonderful food well presented great cooking. Now the staff smartly dressed polite attentive but not over the top. Good selection of ales beers wins & gins. Only point I’d have to be negative on I’m afraid are the toilets let you down you need to get them sorted didn’t look clean didn’t smell clean as if no one had paid any attention to for weeks you’re letting yourself down on this one point. Price is good good location just a few minor points to make the place a little gold mine.

Been here several times and the food is lovely. Our visit was spoiled tonight by a large party of very noisy men but when they had left it was an enjoyable meal.

Excellent nut roast except for stuffing which was rock hard so couldn’t eat it. My husband had beef which could not be faulted. Would recommend.
