Ruchie is a rare treat. An independent restaurant run by people who love food and want to give you a good time. If you like Indian Food, you will love Ruchie.....try it.

The service was pretty slow, took over an hour for our main to arrive. However the salmon roast was very delicious, Interesting ingredients, definitely you will taste something different there. Lamb curry was very basic. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Lovely meal and friendly staff. Smart decor and very clean. Varied menu with lots of fish and seafood. Cocktails too. Will be back and recommend to friends.

A really enjoyable evening enhanced by wonderful staff and beautiful food, everything was excellent service, food quality, atmosphere. The food flavour was an excellent balance of flavour and spice.

Nice relaxed feel to this restaurant. Quite busy and buzzing but no-one was dashing around or hurrying us. Food was excellent and rather different. Not all staff were totally up to speed but all were very pleasant.

Generally a pleasant experience and decent food. If im picking holes id say the yoing blond haired waiter was a waste of space. Seemed clueless and kept saying "sweet" and called me mate. The other staff were superb though, very attentive. My started was very odd.... chilli fish. It was like chinese sweet and sour with chilli in. Mains. Lamb curry was superb. Overall i liked it and would like to try more from the menu.

This was an excellent experience at this new restaurant in Shirley. The starters were spectacular and the mains exceptional. They do an enticing range of cocktails both alcoholic and non-alcoholic and a small but versatile selection of wines by the glass. Looking forward to a repeat visit fairly soon.

Very friendly staff, attentive but not pushy. Good decor tables not too close to each other. Food excellent , great choice menu. Fresh ,tasty,yummy. We will be back soon!

Authentic South Indian food is not available anywhere else in the Midlands. Very tasty dishes from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Best Coconut Chutney in the UK. Must visit again and again.

Fabulous restaurant, extensive menu, all our choices were delicious and well presented. Service was on point, all staff extremely helpful and friendly, will definitely be going back.

Amazing food but the service here is not good. Slow. They don’t check if food is ok as you’re eating. They didn’t replace cutlery. They lost our bill. Service is very slow. They don’t have the edge at all. But th erode is outstanding.
