Big portions, friendly staff. The chicken and lamb were seasoned and marinated to perfection. Melted in the mouth!! Reasonably priced too. We will visit again.

A little off the beaten track, but the smell of meat over charcoal when you walked through the door put that to the back of your mind. The decor was lacking, but the food was not. It's not a fancy place for a fancy meal, but it a good place for some good, tasty food at a very good price!!

very nice food a bit quiet when we ate but probably a bit early at 7pm nice and cheap will be back for sure bit of a dodgy area but no major issue

The starters were good but I wasn't overly impressed with my main course. The service was friendly. Ok for a chilled meal but not the place for a special occasion (hadn't seen the venue before going).

Lovely clean Restaurant, with a quite extensive Persian style menu. The food was excellent and service was fast and efficient. Everything was freshly cooked and prepared very tasty and beautifully presented. Would certainly recommend for a short dining experience.

We went for my Birthday a large party of 13. The service was excellent and the food was even better. I'd go every week if I could. Please don't be put off because it looks like a cafe there are more table in the back room that are more like going into a restaurant. Value for money second to non.

Great food and good pricing. We were first people in the restaurant when we got there at 7:30, and food was served pretty quick even though it was all cooked fresh to order.

Food was absolutely superb. Service and ambience if restaurant were lacking slightly. Also, I have a nut allergy and despite me telling them about it, the service staff brought me ice cream laced with pistachio nuts, when i ordered 'vanilla', which i found wholly unacceptable.

The place was pretty empty for a Friday night. Overall, my spouse and I really liked our food. I would go back soon. My spouse was not as big of a fan and would be more willing to try other places before a second trip to Safran.

Lovely traditional food and a nice atmosphere....all our party enjoyed this excellent experience. A larger wine selection would be appreciated though or an improvement in the house wine

Safran is one of my favourite restaurants in Leeds, the staff are wonderful, attentive but not in your face. We try to get there at least once a year & I tend to go with friends who I don't see on a regular basis therefore when we get together we talk non stop, we have never felt rushed to leave the table. Once again our recent experience was as good as ever. We also like that you can to, they do charge a corkage but that's understandable. Well done Safran, we will be back

Fantastic place to eat, the food was delicious and the service second to none, nothing was too much trouble for them. Would not hesitate in recommending.
