Overpriced. Poor quality food and drinks. Dirty cutlery. Toilets disgusting. Waiter entertaining so only reason why I gave it a score. Would not go again.

Absolutely terrible! The restaurant has been taken over recently and what a difference! We were greeted by a man behind the bar wearing a scruffy sweatshirt. The staff were all sat around chatting and we were the only 2 people in the restaurant! I asked for a wine list to be told they didnt have one. The waitress ( the bosses daughter) brought two half open bottles and a karaff of wine to the able. She allowed us to try the wine and we chose the one in the karaff. She left us with the wine and returned 5 minutes later with another one and left it on the table with no words to explain why. We set it to one side as we had not requested it. When ordering the food we were told that there was no veal, no lamb shank, no salmon. When out food arrived the chicken was dry, brown and curled at the end. The restaurant was cold and noisy with the sound of waitresses giggling and chatting being a constant throughout the duration of the meal. The dessert menu was a half rubbed out, scribbled on chalk board with three choices (including icecream) to which we politely declined. We had an after dinner drink and asked for the bill which took 10 minutes to arrive despite still being the only 2 people in the restaurant! We wanted to pay on debit card however the boss requested that we pay him by direct bank transfer as their card machine wasnt working! I ended up having to log on to my online banking just to be able to leave the restaurant!!!! Ive never experienced anything quite like it!!! To top it off, when I got home and checked the reciept, they had charged me for the 2 karaffs of wine! Absolutely terrible from start to finish. I cannot believe that a restaurant as beautiful as this can change so much.

Dirty cutlery and glasses. Only one steak left in the restaurant. Asked about specials - waitress had to go read the board herself. Ordered Muscles in spicy tomato sauce - got muscles in white wine (not even shown on the menu). Wanted the veal off the menu - told the chef doesn’t want to serve them as doesn’t agree with selling them. Food received was actually fairly nice and reasonably priced. Overall the place is quite run down and could be amazing with some investment. When coming to pay the card machine wasn’t working. Customers were having to go out and get cash to pay. Not the best night on the whole and probably won’t return unless under new ownership.

Such a Lovely place with a really nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious we will definitely be going back!

Superb restaurant, stunning building, lovely staff especially the young lady who greeted us and took our order. The food was amazing , we eat out a lot and this has to be up at the top. Highly recommended

Awful. Level of service minimal. Food from good to terrible. Embarrassing since we were entertaining 4 guests, First time ive ever had Spaghetti Carbonara with no cheese or eggs. Instead the pasta and bits of ham were washed around in a tasteless, slimy, semi-see-through gravy. Card machine not working, so we all has to empty our wallets to find enough cash. Will not be going back.

The quality of the steaks was poor and the service was questionable! The venue was excellent, the fish dishes were ok. Our previous visit was much better.

Nice and cosy place . Tried the sirloin which was a bit chewy ( not 100 % sure it was sirloin ) . Just pleased I wasn't foiting the bill .

As we arrived early we had the place to our self's part of the menu was expensive but what the heck it was my 50th birthday the food was Delicious we had starter & main the quality was fantastic will go back again.

Beautiful food, lovely service, great surroundings .We always choose this place when we want the best Italian meal in this area. We have visited Italy on several occasions and love the food - Boticelli's make us feel as though we are back there.

Service was exceptional with great recommendations and knowledge of the food ring served. The food was as always very well cooked and presented. Great visit.

Very nice Italian restaurant run by real Italian... The old fashioned interior sets the mood and has some positive vibes. And the food is delicious too!

No complaints with the food. On our visit, we were a party of 4, there were 2 couples and one single in and as such the place lacked any atmosphere whatsoever.

Service and food were excellent. The staff are friendly and always go that extra step. The menu has changed a little but the quality remains.

Lovely place, great food! will definitely be visiting again. Nice Italian and also has a new prosecco bar inside. More advertising needed for this place as no one seems to know about it.

With fantastic food and outstanding service Boccellis is our favourite place to eat! Nothing is too much trouble and the children love it because they are made to feel as important as everyone else.

Very good- hearty portion sizes, good service. Open fire. Only slight gripe- staff were constantly close tending fire so it was difficult to talk privately.

Excellent food with very attentive service. I had the specials, which were delicious. We found the wine expensive but we definitely will be going again.

Food excellent, service prompt and courteous, just what I've grown to expect from this fabulous restaurant. Set in a unique building dating back several centuries, the perfect setting for a lovely evening.

This is the 2nd time we've been, 1st time we loved it. This time to be fair there was a large table also booked in but still we shouldn't have felt ignored. Our dessert was 45 minutes late, we weren't in a rush but by this time we weren't hungry. We had to ask for our bill 4 times also, I know they were busy but it's how you handle it. We will return as we love the food but will check there isn't a large table booked in this time.

The food was excellent, very large portions and great quality. The menu was extensive and there were plenty of vegetarian options available. I did think the starters were quite expensive compared to the main courses but we all enjoyed what we ordered so didn't mind. A very enjoyable visit.

Really nice place.. shame about the staff !! When we had finished are meal and just wanted to sit and chat felt like we where in the way and basically asked to leave!!!! Paid for meal waited for change never arrived... I would have tipped but would have liked the option... wouldn't go again... shame really because food was nice and the venue was gorgeous 😕😕

Never again. One hour before we got our table, further hour before starter arrived which was awful. Finally left without a meal. We weren't the only ones either, three other couples did the same.

The food was lovely but the card machine wasnt working so i had to drive to the closest cash machine, my partner asked for a free drink but when i came back to pay they charged me £6 for a glass of house white wine!

Nice food, not too clear where to go on arrival. Forgot to bring my vegetables over, but sorted it out quickly when I asked. Would go again.

Lovely setting, friendly staff and a good choice on the menu. Our group mostly had the pasta dishes but I would have liked to try a steak as they look delicious but were a bit pricey for us. A nice, relaxed evening
