Sea Salt

Took my Dad out for Fathers Day. We had a lovely time and the food was very tasty. I enjoyed every course and will be visiting again. Great atmosphere and we even got to watch footie :-).

High quality & great service. Monk fish was amazing and I had the belly of pork and it’s the best I have had for years and this is a fish restaurant. Second visit in 6 months . Amazing

Fab food - very well cooked. fab staff - really Attentive but space given to enjoy the company you’re with. Lovely birthday meal for my husband. Will come back.

A traditional style restaurant with excellent table service. Sunday roast was delicious and good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful and were able to provide a gluten free meal for our daughter.

Quality food nicely presented with good choice of meat as well as fish.. grilled sardines were delicious and steak cooked to perfection. Nice ambience and friendly staff. Side dishes expensive. Some tables feel a little cramped but would return.

We always have lovely food and service here and today was no exception. All 5 of us enjoyed enormously and would not hesitate going again.

Excellent service. The menu had so much choice. The food was first class. Lovely restaurant. We were offered a choice of tables. We had a very leisurely, relaxed lunch. Will come back again and happily recommend to others.

Sea Salt has a kind of old-world charm; the decor hints at the lounge of a grand ocean liner and the customers are (at least on a Wednesday evening) mostly middle aged or retired, but they clearly have good taste. The dishes on offer range from a safe fish’n’chips to the signature “Neptune Symphony”. My husband enjoyed that, with its tasty Martini & Orange sauce, immensely. I treated myself to the Dover Sole with Bearnaise sauce. I opted to have it on the bone and it looked very impressive, came off the bone easily and tasted yummy. I’m one of those annoying gluten-free people which usually means a restricted choice, but I could have eaten almost everything on the menu and was sorely tempted to order all the starters. In the end I had the refreshing-sounding Smoked Salmon Balmoral. It was indeed refreshing and tasty, but also surprisingly filling! Hubby (who’s not averse to gluten) had the Norwegian Mushrooms and raved about them. I think he plans to try to reproduce them at home, they were that good! It was a celebration meal, so we kicked off with Espresso Martinis and lined up a bottle of Prosecco to have with the meal. The Martinis came in curiously off-centre glasses which made them extra-special. Service was absolutely perfect throughout. We were left to linger over our cocktails before ordering, just as we wanted, and they were equally relaxed at the end of the meal when we finished off our bottle without having dessert. In fact the only warning I would give is that you should starve yourself before going to Sea Salt because the plates are man size and you won’t be able to stop yourself from lapping up every morsel!

Have been to Sea Salt in Beckenham a few tiimes in the past. It's consistently good, great for a Sunday lunch and the set price for a 2 course lunch menu on a weekday is good value given the quality of the food. The staff are welcoming and discreetly attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Good quality food. Well presented. Good decor. Only slight issue was a relatively long wait for the main meal to be served. All in all an enjoyable Sunda6 lunch. Thanks

We very much enjoyed our visit to Sea Salt. The retaurant looks very elegant, The service friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. The food very good. The only downside for us was the overloud music, we asked that it should be turned down but it didn’t make much difference, but this is our constant complaint with all the restaurants we visit .Ursula McCarthy

As always we were given excellent service and delicious food. It's always a pleasure to eat here. We had never been on a Sunday before and despite being very busy the staff were attentive, friendly and polite and the food was cooked to perfection.

Great seafood. Lovely staff. Classy place. Reasonable prices for the quality of the food we had. Been twice so far. A gem in Beckenham! Highly recommend.

A very enjoyable afternoon, the waiter was very attentive and helpful. Parking at the back of the restaurant made it so much easier to get there .

Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere, Food very good. Restaurant was full so staff very busy so service was a bit slow. But we were offered a liqueur at end of meal on behalf of the restaurant. Would reccommend it and would go again.

Excellent food and Service - would recommend a visit. The Set Sunday Lunch menu is very good value for money. This is the first time we visited Sea Salt as a family and was not disappointed. The food is excellent and the service is very attentive, but not overpowering. My Husband had the Sirloin steak and he said it's the "best steak he has ever had!" We will definitely be going back for another lunch soon.

After years of saying we must visit Sea Salt we finally managed to book! We were very pleased with bevery aspect of our meal, the selection, service (even though the restaurant was, we were told, short staffed that evening) and the overall cost. We shall be returning soon.

The staff are so very welcoming. The food is absolutely delightful. Presentation us always 100 and there is nothing they won't do for you. The staff are also very accommodating to children. We Always look forward to going to Sea Salt!!

I didn't know that they were going to have a different menu for Mothers day. I was hoping to order from their usual menu. I felt the mothers day menu was too limited

A warm welcome on arrival. Service was efficient, polite and friendly, as it always is, despite the restaurant being full at Sunday lunch time. My starter of a special request for an avocado salad was the freshest possible, with sweet ripe tomato slices, crisp red lettuce, sliced avocado, a large sprig of fresh basil, topped with garnish and a delicious light dressing, beautifully presented. We had generous portion of roast sirloin of beef which was meltingly tender, cooked to medium rare, with roast root vegetables and delicious light gravy. There is an excellent choice of wines to suit our palate. We had no room left for dessert, but went away feeling very happy, having had a wonderful meal in this excellent restaurant. Highly recommended.

Food & Service excellent. Everything you would expect in a class restaurant . Table was positioned lovely . The atmosphere was good . We will be taking our friends next time to enjoy the experience.

Staff were great and the food was good. I can’t score higher though because we were cold and that just ruins a nice meal out. It appears some money needs to be spent updating the premises somewhat (heating, decorating and double glazing etc). The absence of investment in appearance and guest comfort does make you wonder if standards are lacking in more important areas of the business. I’m sure that isn’t the case, but I should be forgiving for wondering given our experience.

Excellent service, wine, food & overall experience. Fillet steak was amazing. Calamari starter so fresh. Deserts also top notch. 2nd time there now will definitely go again.

nice restaurant, greeted with a smile and taken to our table. It was very busy so that could be why the service was slightly slow. Food was very good and nicely presented . Background music was a bit too loud Would definitely go again.

Great family restaurant. Top Sunday lunch. As a Yorkshire lass, the jury is still out regarding the Yorkshire pudding served with the salmon... but each to their own!

Service was really good. Wait staff were very attentive may be because the restaurant wasn't very busy. Had the fillet steak which was tender the Bailey's cheesecake wasn't very nice. Would go back again. Had some really nice jazzy music playing which I enjoyed.

Unfortunately our evening at Sea Salt was far from what I expected. My husband and I went on a Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. The website gave the impression that it was a nice, relaxing, romantic venue and I was glad to find someplace like that which meant we could stay in the general area of where we live to have nice celebratory meal. Unfortunately the experience was far from what we had wanted. Loud music. There were two birthday parties going and we were seated by one of them. The group was obviously enjoying their time there, which is great, but the constant whining and whinging by the child that was with them was not expected at a Saturday night dinner and was very annoying. This place is pretty much a neighbourhood place, not a special occasion place in my estimation, despite the impressions made by their website. It's a seafood restaurant but you wouldnt really know that by the menu. The food was just okay, bland - we were hungry so we ate it but not any of the three courses for either of us was very impressive. My scallop dish was marred by the inclusion of the roe sack - it was not good. Looking at what we got I believe this restaurant is overpriced. Even the service was slow. I know that it was a Saturday night but we sat for ages without anyone even asking if we wanted a drink. We have no intention of returning, which is sad but true.

Food and ambience very good and food price acceptable but over charge for wine - a £7.75 Syrah priced at £21.95 Staff very pleasant and helpful - would go back. Small parking area to rear (12 cars).

The restaurant is really comfortable and welcoming. The choice of food wide and varied and tastes fantastic. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Great eating out experience.
