Absolutely delicious. Great staff, great atmosphere. Good value as well. Each course was better then the previous course. Parsnip crisps were pure shenanigans of deliciousness.

Our steak was cold! Completely ruined the night for us unfortunately. Shame because it's such a lovely venue, would have been a lovely anniversary setting otherwise.

Great food, friendly staff, unpretentious and welcoming. Will definitely go back. Not the cheapest place by any means but did not feel in any way ungenerous.

Disappointing overall. The food on the menu is not what actually came out. The waiting staff and the kitchen staff didn't seem to be on the same page. I understand that sometime ingredients aren't available and what came out wasn't terrible but definitely not worth the money. I would just expect the staff to be aware if the menu had changed and be able to let people know before they order. For the money you will spend there are much better options available.

Intimate cosy restaurant with good quality ingredients and a simple menu. Staff were friendly and attentive. Somewhere to leave coats would have been handy (as it was a small space). But that's splitting hairs really. The atmosphere was muted and comfortable. Fairy lights and vintage mirrors. Feist and Nina Simone played in the background. There were some adventurous pairings of ingredients that totally worked: beetroot cured salmon, herbed set cream. Fully flavoursome food. Thanks guys. A truly enjoyable experience.

We love Shane's and this is why-- cosy atmosphere, kind, friendly and attentive staff, and amazing food. We went here with our parents so they could meet for the first time which of course is a bit nerve wracking, but we wouldn't have taken them anywhere but Shane's. We go all the time and we love it.

Excellent food, reasonable value for money and pleasant surroundings. Service pleasant but perhaps a little too relaxed. Side orders really are optional - mains come with adequate veg.

Interesting eclectic and superb food menu and quality of cooking, gorgeous wine, lovely service, cool decor with premium fittings and table settings Only small negative was the music being played at this particular visit was quite shouty and loud so slightly spoiling the relaxing atmosphere.

Delicious food and lovely service. We can't fault it, we had a great evening out. It has a relaxed and easy vibe whilst the staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic - rightly so.

Saturday lunch surprisingly empty for such a rated venue. Interesting menu well prepared food all 8 dishes well received . Service lacked sparkle and the food was very slow to arrive particularly the main courses given tthe empty restaurant. Hard to imagine the wait when the place is busy. Good on the quality of food , not so impressive on the service. Would try again if we had plenty of time to spare.

Food was fab, atmos fab, and when the staff were visible the service was adequate. Took ten minutes for us to get some water, and a further ten to get bread. Not ideal. Also, for the last 15 minutes of our meal when we were trying to pay, all th staff had gone AWOL. Kindof a bad vibe when you make the customers feel like they're irrelevant. But, food amazing etc. The overall positives make the negatives stand out more.

I was forced to book earlier than I would have liked by the website. We were the first ones there and the tables remained fairly empty until we left. Otherwise it was a great meal, service a bit slow

Nice friendly staff. Food very nice. We had Muntjac deer....it was tasty and nicely presented. I also enjoyed a lovely gooey chocolate fondant. It's quite pricey, but will definitely go back for more.

Great food, friendly service, lovely wine. Starters were a little slow to come out, but that may have been because we were very hungry so it felt like ages!! Nice relaxed atmosphere, and busy all evening which is a good sign. All in all a very enjoyable Friday night dinner.

The menu at Shane's is very varied and very interesting. This is the third time we have been back at Shane's and had something completely different. The food was excellent. The service was very good. And for five us with a bottle of wine it was reasonably priced at around £138.
