A real hidden gem in a lovely setting. Everything is tasteful done…. Especially the food. Byo drinks. Our favourite Indian restaurant.

As good and as consistent as ever. There seems to be more and more folks trying to just turn up. This place is small but certainly worth so you do have to book in advance.

The food is stunning....absolutely gorgeous, I hope the establishment goes for an award

Always a great experience - Shapla never disappoints. We were there tonight as a family group, including our son visiting from Australia. So nice to show off our fabulous Ferring curry house.

We hadn't been to an Indian Restaurant since we moved to West Sussex four years ago; Liz wasn't fond of Indian food. We hadn't heard of Shapla, in Ferring. It really was a revelation. Great ambience, service and food. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and will certainly go again.

Lovely food, attentive and friendly staff - disappointed at the recently introduced ‘Corkage’ charge.

As good as ever. Maybe a small downside is that there seems to have been the need to bring in a corkage fee. A bit odd given its a BYO due to not being licensed.

Great food , lamb was perfect, delicious prawns, good atmosphere and service. Happy to pay the corkage fee as still so much better value than buying beer / wine that isn’t your own choice

Had a good night , very disappointed about the £2.50 per head charge , there was only 7 of us drinking but was charged for 9 !! ( corkage equivalent)

Disappointed that Shapla has made the decision to charge £2.50 per head for corkage . They don’t sell alcohol so the choice is bring your own or go without , not a necessary change Shapla

Far too loud, my ears were actualy hurting when I left! Small restaurant with too many tables won’t be returning

Very loud noise and couldn’t hear my friend that I shared the table with

6 people on a table for 4 was very uncomfortable. There was little room to have all our dishes on the table. Also 2 had to sit on a bench with no back to relax on. Very uncomfortable. We also find we now pay a corkage of £15. Not impressed!!!

The food was delicious, as we always experience. Staff were very attentive. Since our last visit Corkage of £2.50 per person has been introduced if you take your own alcohol - slightly disappointed at this action.

You must book, the food is what you expect from a great chef. Freshest and spicy flavoured chicken Dansak with rice, keema nann bread, onion bhajees. While no alcohol is sold, I am there for the enjoyment of the food, you can BYOB, atmosphere is warm and inviting. Just a lovely venue, has my vote each and every time. Highly recommended 🤗

We love the food at Shapla. Ferring is a special place for us, sp close to the sea.

we are so lucky to have this wonderful restaurant on our doorstep. Delicious, freshly prepared food, Friendly service and delightful atmosphere you can even sit outside on a summer evening.
