The staff were amazing. Very attentative. Friendly and helpful. I would recommend them all day long. Reasonable prices.

Great service and the food was fantastic. Amazing value for money. My only comment would be that the background music could have been turned down just a little bit. It wasn’t overly annoying,but if the restaurant had been any busier it would have been harder to hear the conversation we were having. Great place to visit and we will certainly be returning.

Not visited for many years and pleased to see that the staff & food are still fantastic! Always greeted by friendly staff and the food service was extremely quick. I will be back again for another visit in the next few weeks!

Compared with similar priced meals locally, Shorties is very, very good. No problem in recommending it.

Waitress was nice, T-bone bland lack of choice of drinks, very small and very dated not much atmosphere but apparently the burger was good

The restaurant is really good We enjoyed the food a lot However, when we got the restaurant they told me I didn’t book a table as this APP didn’t send them any confirmation? Luckily they had a table for us Maybe this is something you need to look into it

Great service and excellent food, steak was cooked just right and tasted great, bbq chicken wings were excellent and just the right portion for a starter.

Always amazing food at shorties, never ever disappoints. Great service and attentive staff. We come here as a treat usually without the kids however they do have a very good kid's menu.

Coffee was cold and tasteless Fillet steak chewy, not as expected for price Large rowdy party of people, (not staff's fault) but staff still put all other customers crammed into the one half of restaurant with them while other half empty, no elbow room to eat, and couldn't talk to own partner because of noise. Probably won't go back.

Food was perfect service was excellent and very reasonably price will visit again was recommended by ex matelots and I wasnt let perfect and to a perfect day

Service too quick. Calamari was ruined by too much batter and over cooked. Seating area very cramped Steak was excellent. Sides were very good. Staff very polite.

I've been going to Shorties for over 20 years and it's always been a lovely evening. Fantastic, good value food and excellent staff. Looking forward to going back.

Good food and nice relaxing atmosphere. A good choice of food . When busy it can be a little cramped as it is a small restaurant.

An excellent meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Greeted with a smile and treated as guests rather than customers. I recommend Shorties to one and all.

Good food and service. Will go again. Had ribeye, rack of ribs and fish and chips. Was getting busy as we left but we were early.

Good choice on menu, excellence food very reasonably priced as are the drinks. Very friendly and efficient staff. Only get to eat here once a year but would always recommend.

This restaurant never fails. Hadn't visited for a few years but still up to it's usual high standard. Won't leave it as long next time.

We visit Shorties whenever we visit Portsmouth and have never been disappointed with the meal or the service. Wish we had a Shorties where we live.

Excellent food and good service. The king prawns in garlic butter were beautifully served and our fillet steaks were of really great quality. Will definitely return.

Really nice little place. Food was really tasty and nice. Good food size and prices not bad. Only negative thing I can say is that it really needs a abit of tlc. Staff r so lovely and helpful.

Good food, but don’t get a table with benches, not comfortable, will get a chair next time otherwise an enjoyable experience and will go again

Great food, slightly cramped table arrangements but that did not take the shine off of a lovely meal. Staff welcoming and attentive. Would return again

Excellent service, great steaks and good value - perfect for a family gathering or birthday, as we did with my 19 year old twin boys and their girlfriends.

Booked for 8pm. Had to ask someone for our drink order and then again at 8.40 had to ask someone to take our food order.

7 of us dining into a tiny area thought is was a Chinese restaurant soup was bland and beef stroganoff was chewy would not return

Not been here for a long time. Still the same great food abd service. Only seem to come here for special meals and have never been disappointed.

Lovely staff lovely food very cosy place to eat and drink the only downside is the restaurant is very out dated decor wise but don’t let that put you off
