Shorties Restaurant

Me and my wife had our first experience at Shorties and there was no disappointment in anyway. The food was great and the staff were so friendly, the place had a lovely relaxed environment that made you feel at home. I will be recommending Shorties to my friends and family if they are looking for somewhere new to visit. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Lovely food and friendly staff very prompteith the food. Will book my annual birthday get together there without doubt lovely location too all my friends have been there and loved it

Steak was incredible, really good value for money, staff were friendly and helpful, drinks were also nice... good cocktails and a lovely evening thanks again.

Excellent service, delicious food and made a fuss of the birthday girl with music, sparklers and cake. Friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced food. Would definitely recommend!

I found the table far too cramped, there were 4 of us and you could barely move! Most of the food was nice but the stroganoff was very very average and that is being generous

First time back in 30 years! Lovely staff but small tables... Steak was divine… cooked to perfection and crispy chips. Nice that the garlic mushrooms are also still on the menu!!

Me and my family have been coming here for years and it’s always excellent. Always very good food and even better service, will definitely be back soon.

Great food excellent service couldn’t ask for more I had the chicken with fries and salad and mushrooms to start the mushrooms were to die for full of garlic butter

This was our first visit for a birthday occasion, the food and staff were excellent, we will be returning and would highly recommended Shorties to anyone !!!!

Had not been there for years, lovely meal, lovely service, will be returning. The steak was so tender, the portions were massive but we had room for dessert because they looked so nice.

We have been coming to Shorties for over 20 years. The food is amazing, the staff are fabulous and the atmosphere great. Will always be our choice for birthdays and celebrations!

Had a very pleasant experience this evening good steak and ribs in a nice atmosphere. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt and friendly.

Friendly staff, helpful service and relaxes atmosphere. Meant we had a lovely evening out portion sizes were generous so we didn’t manage a pudding! Thank you.

I visited this superb restaurant with 3 of my friends and we will definitely be visiting again. The food was amazing . It was the best meal out i have had for a long time. The service was excellent and the staff so friendly. Quick, efficient service of great tasting hot food. Thank you for making our evening a special one . We will be back!

Very nice food, friendly staff. I’d heard that shorties had new owners, if they have the new owners are doing a good job. Some slight differences eg salad instead of veg but still great steak and Garlic mushrooms!!

Does exactly what it says. American style restaurant. Well cooked and presented steaks. My salmon was tasty. All served with a smile. Good steak restaurant.

Lovely bit of steak and big portion meals. Very good price. All food came out very quickly too even though the resturant had a lot of sittings. Amazing service from staff.

Brilliant!! Great food great prices. Was quiet but very cosy and felt very looked after by staff who made a big effort as it was my partners birthday.

Great food and atmosphere, the place for steak for sure. Friendly and accommodating staff who served us well for a large party, will definitely return particularly for the T bone.

We had a lovely time at Shorties. We had a Groupon for a steak lunch, although due to a mix up, the restaurant owner agreed we could have se it on an evening. I went along with my mum last night, and the restaurant was packed out! We had pushed our table time back half an hour at the last minute & this was happily accepted. Throughout our visit, the staff were all very friendly & chatty, yet professional. The food arrived & wow, it was a huge meal! A big steak (which I had suspected was sirloin, and it was). I had asked for medium rare, and it was definitely medium, however it was so tender and so delicious that it didn’t matter. It came with a large side of chips, garden salad, and lots of mushrooms, all equally delicious! We are not really pudding eaters so we asked the resta I would definitely go back based on food and service, however the decor is very very dated. If this restaurant was brought up to date, even modernised to a basic standard, I would go back again and again.

Always had a good meal in here was really busy but food still came out quick & hot can't fault it as usual will definately be returning in the future

Lovely food, great value and wonderful service in a lovely old-fashioned and 'intimate' restaurant. A whitebait starter was shared between two of us and was plentiful and fresh. The steak mains were accompanied by a fresh simple side salad and delicious mushrooms and we had a side of onion rings which were also good. A delicious bottle of rosè was a mere £13.95! I look forward to returning :)

Lovely food, great service from very polite staff, a varied menu and reasonable prices. Would give a sixth star if restaurant was slightly more comfortable/modern. Overall a very enjoyable time.

Shorties has been around for such a long time, and it’s easy to see why!! Delicious food and cocktails, big portions, great service! Only a small restaurant so book in advance!

The 4oz burgers looked and tasted like they were asda smart price dripping with grease nothing in them no salad, sauce nothing,when complained about we were told we always use those ones, the meals were removed but NO offer of a replacement was offered. The waitress Ellie was amazing but the Chinese? Manager? Was a absolute joke, words are not yet written to discribe her horrendous attitude. It's suppose to be a burger and steak restaurant but the people sitting next to us also sent their steak back 3 times!!!

Really good food and excellent value. The portions were also very big. My only (minor) complaint would be the lack of any real ales. They only have bottled beers or nitro keg.

Went here for Mother’s Day, Food was very yummy! We had ribs, steak and prawns between us! Everyone enjoyed there mains and Staff were friendly and polite.

We celebrated our ruby anniversary at shorties and weren't disappointed. The food was lovely , the staff were very helpful and polite. All in all, Avery nice evening. Thank you shorties.

The service was quick and the waitresses were lovely. I had fillet steak which was cooked perfectly for me (medium rare) which decent portion of chips and salad. However I reckon the salad could have been a bit better. I also had the calamari to start which wasn't that great. A bit too cooked and thick batter for me.

Visited with friends whom had been before many years ago, there was a good choice of dishes on menu & although venue was busy the service was very good & there was a pleasant friendly atmosphere .All in our party enjoyed their visit & their food
