The pub was very busy at 4:30 which I understand with a high volume event near by tia was why we booked our table in advance for 5 pm - on arrival man at the door was not looking to greet anyone so I made a point of letting him know we had arrived, understandably the table was not ready so we went to the bar that you could only watch in amazement how efficiently the bar staff were serving and preparing/cleaning work station as they went. Once we had our drinks (15 mins later) we went and waited near the door where we had spoken to the man on arrival but he never returned. Another party of 4 were also waiting and could see empty tables so it became frustrating and probably just as frustrating for the waitresses having to guard there area to stop a number of other customers walking in and trying to sit down at tables even though they didn’t have reservations. Keeping a staff member at the door would have made the girls job far easier. As for the entire time there I could not fault there speed , smile and helpful nature despite at this extremely busy time - once seated I could not fault the service the drinks order may have taken a little longer than I would have liked but the girls were working together and doing there best. The food was very nice and desert trio amazing - will come back again but sort the door staff out if it’s busy.
