Good food, but it can be quite pricey given the fairly small portions
Food was great, service was great and the staff were very friendly and welcomin.Although, the main courses are quite big dishes, which wasn't mentioned so would recommend sharing them.
Staff were friendly and the food tasted great. Service was perhaps a bit slow but we didn't mind as we were catching up with a friend.
Every thing we were expected. Nice friendly service, Asian cocktails, and a comprehensive menu. We visited pre a theatre visit, found Suda Thai on line and thought it sounded a bit different which it was. Definitely would go again.
We had a very tasty meal off the pre-theatre menu which we thought was exceptionally good value. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. What’s stopping me giving full marks is that the restaurant is moving from this ideal theatre location so it’s unlikely we’ll dine there again!
Booked for a pre-theatre meal, only to be told when we asked for it on arrival that the pre-theatre set menu was not available that day. Which was pretty annoying as it clearly says on their website (and posters around the place) that it was available at the time we were there (5pm on a Wednesday) and there are no exceptions detailed. No apology or reason given so not the best first impression. We proceeded to have the mixed starters and green curry that we would have had from the set menu but paying more for it! Starters were not great, some lukewarm items and some nicer bits, but the curry was excellent. Service was fine. So 3/5 and would try somewhere else next time.
My wife and I went to Thailand for our honeymoon. Ever since we've been to various Thai Restaurants across London and Suda is by far the most authentic. The food tastes like it's made in Thailand, the restaurant brings the culture of Thailand to life and the service was good. We will definitely be returning on a more frequent basis.
Fab food really enjoyed the place good location authentic Thai easy to find most enjoyable set menu good value for money and we all had a great time
It could have been a 6 but I requested for a rose on the table, it wasn't placed. The food and atmosphere was really good
After living in Thailand for 10 years finding a quality Thai restaurant is not easy. Suda Thai thankfully has stopped the search. Easily the best Thai I have had outside of Thailand. Thanks you so much.
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Our starters were great, especially the soups. I ordered the pad Thai and it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but also wasn’t at all the worst. My husband ordered the Thai basil chicken and he was very happy with it.
The food was delicious (lots of great veggies options), the service was fairly quick (but it wasn’t too busy when we arrived). We were able to charge our phones whilst we there (charging ports under the tables) which was great. Really enjoyed the experience.
Excellent service- authentic Thai, willing to adjust spice to be higher if you ask kindly! Reasonable price as well! Will be coming back again soon.
Decent food but the service wasn't great. We waited over half an hour for our food, other customers who arrived and ordered after us managed to get their food in good time but we were left waiting. There was no explanation as to why our food was so late. Will probably never go to this restaurant again.
Amazing food, good ambiance and will definitely come again. Lovely staff, just a little slow in bringing our drinks and taking payment at the end.
The Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was great, it all seemed very authentic. I would definitely recommend you visit here for dinner
Food was good Booking was well handled Only downside the waiting for people to take orders and bring our food was quite long. Although it was Saturday evening so Peak times understandable
We went there as a family, didn’t enjoy the food. It was very fatty and not tasty. We would never come back to this place again.
Really lovely food, friendly staff, very busy though had to wait a little while for food to come out (Saturday 7pm) recommend you book a table
Food was lovely, but main meals came with the starter and it was very crowded on the table. Great atmosphere, but a little bit too much juice in my cocktails. Overall satisfied with the whole experience. Would come back again.
Stuff is miserable, always forgetting things. Food changed allot. We use to come from first day they they open. Now been last time :( :(
Lovely people and really nice food. Surprised there was not a set menu for 2 people so a bit disappointing. I would recommend eating early (before 6) if going to theatre as service slowed considerably as we were there. But no complaints very nice people
Menu has downsized a lot since I last went there. Food was still tasty but was looking forward to more options as starters. The lychee cocktail was yummy however.
We had a superb meal which was great value and the service was spot on. Will go back there again next time we are in London.
Very enjoyable evening lovely food nice and hot also spicy great view from the 1st floor out onto the square. service also very good attentive and fast
Really welcoming staff, good atmosphere and top food. Really wide range of selection of meals on the menu. Will definitely book again on next visit to London.
Food was great and tasty. Though one manager (male, around mid 30s wearing his own clothes) was rather rude when asking for sweet chilli sauce with starters. Did not want to give any sauces to our table and on third time asking was told that I would be ruining the taste. But the fried chicken balls were very dry. Other than that, all other staff were attentive and amiable.
We had theatre tickets and told the waiting staff. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Excellent service and staff friendly and efficient. the Thai Pimms cocktail was lovely.
Great staff, lovely surroundings, delicious food. I would recommend the tofu sate with peanut sauce, they really do cater for vegans with a huge menu for veggies and the tofu curry was delicious.
Great food and good service. The menu has lots to choose from which made it difficult to decide however I decided to have the tasting curries which allowed me to taste three different curries. I would recommend.
Amazing food and amazing cocktails. Would definitely recommend. Was overpriced however after they added a non negotiable 12.5% service charge on the end of our bill
We went for the pre-theatre menu which was very good indeed. The service was very good too. The restaurant is only 5 mins walk from the palace theatre so very convenient.
A return visit for my husband and I , but we brought friends who haven’t been in London for 20 years. Meal was fantastic. Food great and staff very attentive. Thank you again
We were seated next to a noisy table so found our conversation difficult! Food was very mediocre and was mostly unpalatable. The lychee juice was the best bit! Won't be returning.
food came quickly and staff were very polite. Although it took a long time for our order to be taken, the food was delicioua when it arrived.
My friends and I went here on Friday to celebrate Christmas. Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was great. They have a vast menu with lots to choose from, especially for my friends who are vegetarian. We had a wonderful time and I will definitely go back there again!
Delicious food. Huge menu which we found confusing but what we chose was good. Great staff, although the receptionist seemed a little stressed. But lacking in atmosphere. When you go in there is a huge room downstairs with nothing going on. Upstairs better but not full.
Really enjoyed my visit to Suda Thai. Fabulous service and a really good menu selection which are reasonably priced. Plenty of options for Vegans too. Will visit again!
Great service and lovely food. Really quick as well. Would happily go there again and would recommend it to others. . . . . .
Always eat here when we visit London. Another fantastic meal, good service and friendly staff that are always attentive. Highly recommended this restaurant never had a bad meal
Tasty food with a good choice of dishes. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Restaurant was spacious, and good for a group meal.
We arrived early and were shown straight to our table. All staff are extremely polite and friendly. The food was excellent, as were the cocktails. Will definitely be returning.
The food was very tasty. The service was very good. Friendly waiting staff. The atmosphere was great. It has dimmed lighting which made it an ideal late night dinner location
Excellent as always. Wonderful food and brilliant service. Also Singha on draft! What more could you ask for? Food very good value especially for London.
Nice restaurant but we were seated downstairs and it was very cold as the door kept opening and closing! Service a bit slow but food good
Great atmosphere and settings. Very attentive staff. Good VFM considering central London location. Definitely one of my regular favourites. . . . . . . .
Pre-theatre supper menu is great for a taste, but needs to be ordered by 18:30. Atmosphere is very pleasant and waiting staff, though very busy, are very polite and helpful explaining what is in things. On arrival of first of our party at 17:45 we were asked if we could leave table by 20:00, but everyone didn't arrive until gone 18:15, so we ran late but never felt that we needed to hurry up. Eventually left at 21:20! Overall very pleasant - but don't rely on any of the online maps to find it - they all put it in a different place, head for Slingsbury Place and you won't go far wrong.
Coming from a country with amazing Thai food, it's quite hard to find authentic Thai food in London. However this place delivered! We had the chicken pad thai and the sharing curries (came with 3) and they were both delicious! Would recommend this place if you need a Thai fix!
Food was very nice, good prices, good theater location and staff very friendly (I couldnt find it and they guided me in over the phone!). Service could have been a bit quicker as we were pre theatre with a deadline but when we nudged it appeared right away and all was fine.
Great tasting food (including vegetarian dishes) and attentive, helpful staff. Dishes were slightly pricey but authentic. Restaurant was busy and staff were polite and smiley. Wish more Central London dining restaurants were like Suda!
