Great to be able to book table on line. We've been here many times before and the steak pie is one of my husband's favourites. Another great lunch, we'll back!
Food was good and well presented, but could have been hotter
Enjoyable Sunday lunch. Vegetarian option was delicious and very filling.
Good service but the roast beef was a little tough and the roast potatoes had not been cooked fresh today but were reheated. Disappointing as we have had better food there in the past
Lovely food and all great except took us an hour and 10 mins to receive our order! I was late back to work and we had very hungry children in tow! We were only ordering Mac cheese, a kids fish and chips and 2 salmons so no idea why the massive wait.
Quandoo is closing down. This is a planned, phased process and our platform remains available until 30 September 2026.
Meal was good but seriously disappointed with content, Christmas Dinner with no sprouts or stuffing, my veg consisted of green and red cabbage, that was it!!! Also only one pig in blanket, surely for £90 a head we should of had better and then to be situated outside the pub in a drafty marque away from the main eating area. The Swan can and really should of done better.
Amazing food and friendly staff, perfect way to spend an afternoon on Christmas Eve
Very friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price.
The venue was cold , service was polite but inefficient.Food average.
It was nice, staff were nice, the beef was really tough though.
Welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere. Prompt service & excellent food. Decor in our corner a bit ‘tired’ but didn’t spoil our experience. Highly recommended.
Delicious roast as always, lovely atmosphere. Great service! Will be back
Parking not good, sat by door cold draught, food average
Sunday roast was good but not enough gravy, felt like they'd held back so you had to pay for extra.
Perfect place for food, ambience and service. Always enjoy my visits, never disappointed. All had different food and everybody enjoyed their lunch. Couldn’t fault it
Staff were really helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our meal and the menu had several gluten free options which was why we decided to dine there as I'm coeliac so thank you for making a difference.
The pub wasn’t busy , just a few tables with diners and a few seated at the bar so the noise level was quite low. The food was good and homemade. It was nice to have a wedge of steak and ale pie rather than meat in a dish with a pastry top. The staff were accommodating and friendly.
This is a very friendly pub - for drinking and eating. Highly recommend especially after a walk in the Cotswolds.
We had a very enjoyable meal and enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere
Always think the food and service is good at the Swan , been there many times before .
Absolutely delicious roast dinner , good sized meal and great service from our waitress even though it was very busy
Nice choice of beer. Very pleasant staff. Basic surroundings. 5 X roast dinners were so-so. 5/10. It was nice to have dinner cooked for me but it's unlikely we'll return. I make a banging roast but it was a birthday going out treat.
We haven't been to The Swan for months. It used to be one of our favourite pubs, but the menu became a bit 'samey' and we stopped going. We thought we'd give it another go and were really pleased with the food. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals, there were some lovely options on the menu and the two female staff that served us were excellent. They were attentive, polite, quick to notice if we needed more drinks etc, and had a bit of chat with us too which was great. Our only criticism would be the atmosphere. The pub used to have a lovely cosy, country feel with soft furnishings, historical photos and paraphernalia, but sadly it has lost all of that charm. The bar area was incredibly loud and echoey. There was paint peeling off the walls and it just felt bare and unloved. I don't know if there is a plan to redecorate, but as a minimum it could do with some attention to smarten it up as the decor and atmosphere are currently letting the staff and food down.
Excellent service and very good food, will definitely return!! ..
Service was very slow. Had to ask to get another drink after waiting to see someone to ask. Had to wait ages for someone to come and pay the bill, my mum had to get up from her seat to ask for someone to take our payment. It wasn’t very busy so I’m not sure why we had to wait for these things. Food was very nice though.
Automatic service charge added without any explanation so not impressed by that.
Brilliant food, friendly staff, excellent value for money - highly recommend
We did not have to wait very long, it was hot and plenty to eat. Staff were Pleasant, look forward in going back for Sunday lunch.
We had a lovely table by the window which was a quieter spot. Lovely, attentive service, roast was spot on and the pudding was fab (you can order a smaller portion for half the price which is a nice touch). will be visiting again soon.
Great food and service very full and content when we left
Prompt and very pleasant service, lots of choices on the menu. Steak and ale pie and the children's fish and chips particularly nice. The Swan is always reliably good.
Great food and great service, would totally recommend this lovely pub
Very friendly staff , loved the food, will go again
Lovely family lunch. Seated in the marquee which was fine, although we were rather plagued by flies.
Pub was very quiet with very little atmosphere Food was mediocre , ham was very dry, eggs looked as though they had been cooked for some time Won’t be in any hurry to return
Shocking food at high end prices a really disappointing meal out.
Really nice food and great staff. Easy to get to from where we are.
Staff friendly and efficient. Good food, had a roast, only gripe is that the potato’s were a bit chewy.
The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the service throughout was first class. All 4 of us ordered roast beef for Sunday lunch and although the meal was very tasty, we all felt the beef was a bit tough. This didn't ruin our visit though as we loved the service and atmosphere in the pub. We will definitely go back
We had a lovely evening. Very good service and food.
Beef was a little chewy. Enjoyable visit otherwise, will return.
Excellent meal, just door to garden kept being left open by other guests causing a draft. Could do with a proper closing mechanism.
We went to the bar and were greeted and shown to our table, we were not given menu's and were not sure if we had to order at the bar!. Once we had ordered the food came and was absolutely great. Did not know there would be a service charge, I always tip and would prefer to have chosen how much, not be told. Its a pub after all!
Great food friendly atmosphere good service good parking must go again
Lovely food …unfortunately sat next to very Noisy table 😟
Wine and beer were both enjoyed, but £8+ for soup is unacceptable. The main meal of fish & chips was enjoyable but again not outstanding.
Very quiet but it was a Monday lunchtime. Lovely seat beside the open fire and food was very good. The set menu price was very good
Great food, nice pub, good menu choices and good service!!!!!!!
Fantastic food! Service was brill. One of the best roast dinners. Will be returning
Dog friendly, superb food, friendly staff that serve with a smile, decent size portions, well and truly stuffed 🤤😁
