Friendly, attentive staff. Quick service, food nice and the pub was cosy.

We’ve just been along for Sunday lunch. It was lovely - delicious food, great selection of drinks, easy to park, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Apart from my ham, egg and chips which was enjoyable, the food was not as we expected it would be. One of our party ordered gf fish and chips and this turned out to be fish without batter - that's how they do it gf - disappointing as many places manage to do gf batter. My daughter's pizza was, in fact, just two slices of pizza. We found the beer garden lacking in ambience and not somewhere that was enjoyable to sit.

Hot day so surprised there wasn’t a salad or lighter option for the specials menu. Another roast option seemed excessive. Roast potatoes a bit overdone. Service good

Good quality food. I would recommend the steak pie, home made, not a bought in individual pie, with chunks of lean meat, served with mash or chips and green veg. My wife had the lasagne, which was full of meat. Friendly service.

There was a problem in the kitchen and I was warned that a reduced menu would be available Items ordered were acceptable but unfortunately it took a long time to get to the table On another day there would probably be more smiley faces

Great service and friendly welcome. The only problem was that they only had a limited menu on, due to a broken extract fan. The food we had was still very nice. I would recommend and a great beer garden.

The Sunday menu didn’t specify the right food items (fish and chips came with oven fries rather than triple cooked chips. Was told this was normal for a Sunday but the menu does not reflect this), food came on a old looking, battered, scratched plate (not appealing to eat off), children’s burger was very dry and bun was so stale it crumbled, portions were small compared to other times we’d visited, fish (in fish and chips) was mostly batter and skin on. Very disappointing all round. A shame when an adult main is £18!! We won’t be spending money there again.

It was a very busy day as the weather was glorious so lots of people out enjoying the sun and a pint. Even so the service was very good and with in no time after our order was taken good food arrived. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. All in all a very pleasant few hours was enjoyed by all

This is a handy place to meet friends for lunch, with adequate parking. The food is very average, and the staff very hit and miss as to personality and being welcoming.

Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. I was slightly disappointed that I was unable to have a ploughmans as I had been looking forward to it as it was my birthday and it was not clear on the menu you could only order until 4 plus I then could not have the dessert I wanted as it was sold out but the food I did order was really tasty and I enjoyed it.

The beef was really tough and mostly inedible, almost impossible to swallow. We had to leave most of it. They must have run out of roast potatoes because we only got a few scraps

The staff friendly but food very average. Did mention to the staff that the burger was dry and they did offer to replace it which we declined. Still charged us the full bill.

Friendly and attentive staff, and very good beer. It was nice, at last, to have a wider choice on the food menu. The food was OK but not amazing; plates weren't hot and so the food goes cold too quickly, could easily be improved.

The Sunday lunch was enjoyable, all the family really enjoyed it. The food was cooked to perfection and well presented. The service and atmosphere was also great!

when we arrived we were very disappointed as we were in the marquee, i appreciate i asked for a quiet corner as we were a large group with children. but we didn't expect to be out on a limb, in a cold damp, marquee in January, that smelt damp. i wasn't even asked if we would be happy to be outside in the marquee when i booked, if there was no other choice i would have booked somewhere else. The children were cold, and we were prepared to eat our meal with our coats on. when the waitress came to take our drink order, i did ask was there any room in the pub, but i was told they were fully booked. but thank goodness, within five minutes a table was found inside to accommodate us. Service was ok, staff very pleasant, and a much better atmosphere to be inside, but I'm afraid the food wasn't as good as the last time we went, and unfortunately we won't be going back.
