Excellent food & service in a comfortable atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you have not been before.

Good service.Sadly, most of the guests went for a salmon dish and there was limited selection from the menu.

We heard about the Taj Mahal after recent news stories about their award and decided to try. First impresssions were very positive, lovely white linen on the tables and the menu was extensive with many unusual dishes. Prices very reasonable. Unfortunately we were sitting very close to a table of six very loud men which made normal conversation almost impossible. After a quiet word with the staff we were moved to a quieter table which wasn't easy in a busy restaurant! They could not have been more accommodating. Food was absolutely delicious, though the table was too small to hold everything! All in all a fantastic evening, so happy to have discovered this gem of a restaurant and I will be returning. I have also recommended to friends!

Very good service and good food. Only problem was other customers which was not the restaurant's fault.

At a table opposite us the lady was not very well and in the end fainted. Luckily by this time her partner had moved her to the floor. The staff were slow to react. I took charge told the staff to phone 999 and suggested to the partner that the woman was put in the recovery position. The woman then threw up and the staff again were slow to react or bring a receptacle for her. Me and my two friends paid our bill and ewere not even given a discount for our help and support - very disappointed.

We love The Taj Mahal. The food is excellent. We have had them cater for our 60th’s. The staff are always friendly and polite. There is no need to try anywhere else.

Haven't been here for some time but food was ether bland compared to the same dishes previously. They no longer seem to use the table food watmers therfore the dishes became cold before we were actually finished with them.

Thank you for accommodating all of us tonight, we had a lovely time having early birthday celebrations. The food was delishious and staff were lovely. Only problem was the time went too fast!

Warm greeting by staff and invited to a cosy table. Well chilled wine and water to start the evening. Enjoyed prawns on puri followed by a delicious salmon handi. One minor point would be a suggestion to remove the skin from the cooked salmon. Surprised when I asked for coriander rice to be told there was no coriander available. Otherwise very enjoyable evening.

Arrived at 6pm extremely efficient service starters, main courses and coffees all done and dusted in an hour. Busy because of the eat out for less but they are coping well

Very noisy, tablecloth dirty and food was only ok. Curry not hot enough when described as hot. Rice looked greasy. Sorry not brilliant this time
