Sometimes in the complicated world of Indian food, it can be hard to pick which of the many specialities on offer to pick when you sit down to dine. There must be poppadoms, of course, and probably a kebab or two. Ditto curries – they don’t call Indian restaurants curry houses for nothing – are a must, and can be picked depending on mood or personal taste for spice. At Taste of India on Queensway in Bayswater, they can take the pressure off you with a huge range of chef’s recommendations that give you the very best that the house has to offer. They’ll rustle up a mixed platter to start – seekh kebab, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, chicken wings, vegetable samosas and a house salad and sauce – and a chef’s choice of to follow of tandoori mixed grill, their house signature Taste of India special with chicken, minced meat and egg or, for non-meat eaters, the Taste of India Special Fried Rice with egg and peas. Book a table and head on in for a London curry house that does the work for you.
