The Last Inn

Food very good but waited a long time for our “while you wait” items. Lots of items were not available. Since the Last has been refurbished it is a little stark and less warm. We had a large party behind us who were very noisy. The food was very tasty and we all enjoyed our chosen courses.

First ever visit, the staff were very friendly, courteous and obliging, very nice atmosphere and the food was top drawer, most certainly will be returning. The only observation I would make is that if you are parked in the car park opposite the Inn be wary if anyone you are with has high heels on, the surface is quite uneven

The food here is always good and the prices reasonable.

Disappointed in the Vegan pie, very tasteless, but the rest of the meal was very good.

Service a tad slow but great staff and excellent meal, well worth waiting for.

Six of us had the beef Sunday roast, all were delicious except one persons beef was chewy, though the rest were fine. Will be returning because the food tasted wonderful and the portion sizes were just right.

The Last Inn is lovely -a great ambience when you enter friendly staff and really great food . Slightly surprised when veg side orders weren’t available but a beautiful tasty side salad was offered as an alternative. The steaks were cooked beautifully compliments to the chef ! The whole meal was rounded off with The most delicious desert ever a Limoncello Eton Mess to die for. Well done Last Inn we had a great meal

Crowded Sunday lunch, descent food, slow service but understandable under the circumstances. I do think they should warn customers wanting to order roast pork if there is no more crackling. Nevertheless, we have eaten there many times and never been disappointed. Staff are friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

Food was lovely but there was a big party in and we were sat close to them. Waited an hour for our order to be taken, had to ask to be moved and we didn’t really get the service that we have had before. Which is a shame as I don’t think we will go back. It was my mums birthday which I said when I booked and it kind of spoilt the night.

Food was nice. Atmosphere was nice. Very modern decor, nice staff.

We waited quite a while but it was busy and the staff kept us up to date with where our food was, everyone was pleasant and the atmosphere was great. Nothing bad to say! Love it hear

The steak was a little over cooked as we asked for medium. It is not good that veg and chips are not included in the price. The wait for food was long.

Had lovely evening to celebrate a birthday We all enjoyed our meals we ordered. The staff were really efficient, helpful and friendly, would recommend.

The meal was satisfactory but the menu was sadly abbreviated and our choice was unduly limited. The waitress was pleasant and apologetic but unable to help. The moral is not to eat there on a Sunday night

Not sure what the problem was at this venue last night🤔. It is usually very good food and service. I had booked for 8 as a 16th birthday treat for my grandson. It took ages to get served a drink on arrival. We were booked in at 6.30 and no food order was taken for 3/4 of an hour. We ordered more drinks, that never arrived. The young lady serving was apologetic, and we were still in high spirits. Then came the wait for our meal. We waited, and waited. When the meals arrived my granddaughters meal (who is type 1 diabetic), never appeared. We proceeded to eat, while she went to the bar to chase her food. It arrived 10 minutes later. The food was tasty, apart from the gravy which was very salty. I reiterate, this place is normally spot on. It’s a shame, my grandsons 16th birthday will.

I had the halloumi as a starter followed by the hake linguine. Both were beautiful, especially the hake. My partner had the fiery fries (can’t remember what it was called but had hot sauce and what not) which was great. He was however disappointed with the chicken and leak pie which he felt had little flavour although the pastry was good.

It was lovely but spoilt a bit by the fact quite a few things on the menu had run out.Food was delicious and staff very helpful .

Food was terrible. Steaks were inedible. Chips were soggy. No wonder the place was empty at 8:30 on a Friday night

Empty Inn so lacking atmosphere. Polite bar staff/waitress however couldn't locate her when we needed her. Portions small, food nice but not memorable.

Food was lovely and one thing that was really nice the staff didn't keep coming over and asking is every thing ok while we were enjoying our afternoon tea. They did ask but didn't hassle. Was really lovely afternoon.

Food okay but service wasn’t very good - expensive for what it is

Excellent food. 4 of us shared 2 Chateaubriand which was excellent (although a little small) Sides of spinach, black pudding bon-bons, peppercorn sauce and fries/chips all very good. No complaints about child steak, paella and pork loin.Nice decor and the garden is improved having been opened up. Service a little slow and inattentive, even though it was quiet.
