Great service, even better food, had a fantastic evening, would recommend 100%

The curry was gorgeous and we also had the creamed spinach as a side which was also lovely. My partner was a little disappointed with his gammon but overall we had a lovely meal and service was great.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks prices weren’t reasonable. Food a little expensive but nice and hot. Pleasent experience and I would return.

A lovely roast dinner definitely recommended. Also a great price too .

We had an excellent meal although several dishes on the menu were not available.

A few things not available on the menu which is fine but tell us before we order! If you ever take the pork belly off the menu I am never visiting you again!

The food was so nice! We really enjoyed it. Live music was fab too, we were in the restaurant area so it was loud enough for us to hear and to still talk. When driving you don’t always get good non alcoholic drinks but here they have non alcoholic gin! Was so nice. Would definitely recommend.

Great pub, lots of gins to chose from, great food, good choice, its a lay back pub so you must be prepared to wait, service is slow. It is worth the wait and if you are there with friends there is no problem. This is the third time i have eaten there and definitely eat there again.

I went with my sister. Table was right by kitchen door although there were other tables further away. Then just as our food was brought a very large party of very very noisy ladies came to the next section. As we already had our food it would not have been easy to move even though there were still vacant tables further away. In the end we didn't even stay for a sweet as it was impossible for us to have a conversation. A shame as we thought we would meet for a chat. Ended up sitting in my sister's car on the car park. We did say to waitress how noisy it was but she didn't offer to move us.

My wife and me ordered rump steaks. They were cooked as requested, well presented and tasted great. The service received was pleasant and friendly at all times and we were both pleased with our visit.

My Beef Wellington was delicious, the presentation was sorely lacking, our side of onion rings were so thick in grease we had to leave them, my partners burger was good but basic, not worth £13, and £22 for my Beef Wellington, luckily we had a 20% off voucher as had we paid full price we would have complained. I have previously really enjoyed the food on other visits although the menu I also think is very basic, so I don't think we will return. The service was good though and the staff are good.

Only got two scollops with the starter and chorizo was rock hard, didn’t have all the wines on the wine list in fact no Chardonnay at all and asked for the Australian wine to find out after we had french. The mains, two steaks were totally fatty and the two beef Wellingtons were well over cooked and the pastry was very soggy and never had potatoes like a slice of cake before. Must be a two drink rule as was never offered after that. £160 lighter and not satisfied at all

We had a party of 10. Meal lovely .staff friendly. Clean and relaxing. Definitely go again and recommend.

We visited on a Sunday 18.00 the pub was deserted. We were told straight away they had run out of all Sunday lunches and about 4 items off the all a carte menu. We ordered and waited and waited. I dread to think what the wait would have been if the pub was busy. Saying that once the food arrived it was exceptional we had a wide range of meals. Everyone enjoyed there food especially the steak and ale pie. So in conclusion I would definitely go back and try again maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen after what I suspect was a busy Sunday lunch service.

We all had a lovely meal, only thing I would say is personally I think they needed more staff on.

Very pleasant staff but several items were not available from the menu and there was a long wait for our order to be taken and for the meal to be served. Excellent food.

Saturday. Really lovely meal, everything cooked as ordered, excellent service, reasonable prices and no rush. Will definitely return. Superb under 5’s chicken dinner!! (Yummy mash!)

I had been before the alterations and the Last Inn, as it's known now, is a great improvement. The restaurant is a proper room now and very comfortable. Lack of soft furnishings does, however, mean it gets a little noisy when full. The food has always been of a good standard and that hasn't changed. Service is good and the waiting staff are efficient and friendly. We will return!

Food and staff were great but the speed of the food coming out was really slow, took over an hour, and with kids in tow thats not good. Staff were apologetic and saying the kitchen was preparing for evening meals but seeing that it was 5pm and only another couple in it shouldn’t have taken that long and should have already been prepared.

Excellent food, excellent services, excellent evening. Staff very attentive despite having a big party in plus other guests besides us. Highly recommended you try The Aston Taphouse.

Always an enjoyable experience, new decor is good and still kept its original charm.
