A really lovely lunch time catch up with friends in a relaxed & comfortable environment. We all had light meals, my Caesar salad was perfect, the others loved their various sandwiches with very interesting fillings. Definitely recommended ....

Great menu and service. Excellent choice of lunchtime baguettes and wraps. Lovelly garden at the rear of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend a visit to the Aston!

Poor service, missed a starter so others had eaten when it arrived. Ordered macaroni cheese with chorizo as an extra , it came with mushrooms and bacon , that person did not like mushrooms so had to pick them out ! The starters plates were not cleared when the main course arrived, and we had no cutlery for the main course , had to ask for it. Very disappointing.

Everything was really nice and served promptly. Good offer on Mondays too with main meals being half price. Chips are underwhelming but all other food is delicious.

Love the menu and friendly staff... plus the new discounts :-)

Took my dog for the first time, so friendly and comfortable in the bar area, will be returning :-)

Service was shocking table booked for 6.30pm main course after prompting came at 8pm.no apologies. Would not visit again Person we spoke to asking why the delay showed no sincerity at all regards the wait.

We attend The Aston on a regular basis whether dining or just for a drink. Food has always been exceptional, both Lunch and Dinner menus.

Four of us went for a meal at the Aston last night. The food was amazing, as always, but we sat down at our table at 7 and ate at 9!! I can fully understand Monday nights are busy and there were two big parties, but we were forgotten about and didn't have our order taken for over 30 minutes. On the plus side, they were apologetic and provided us with complimentary olives. When the food arrived, the dauphinois potatoes were dry and overlooked, as if our food had been sat around but the waitress was very accommodating in quickly getting the chef to cook some more. I will definitely be returning as I regularly eat here and the food never disappoints, and the slow service was a one off - I've never had this issue before.

We enjoyed our meal the food was well presented and very good quality. it was our first time at the Aston Tap house it will not be the last.

good food, nice atmosphere and a fair price, great selection of beers, dogs allowed and family friendly, Sunday roast meal is a great plate of food!

Personally the food was great and decent service. Couldn’t say the same for most other guests as most were waiting over an hour to receive food and the couple next to us still hadn’t received theirs before we had even left. The food was very good though.

Good food, hot & freshly cooked, friendly staff. Seats rather hard & needed a cushion cos table rather high! Otherwise good ambience & a welcoming atmosphere. We will visit again soon I’m sure

Great meal, we both had soup starters and steak cooked lovely and the onion rings 😋 best ever!! Excellent service definitely recommend and certainly be going back!!

New member of staff served us she was lovely the restaurant was short staffed so a bit of a wait .There was a very loud waitress think she was Australian bit distracting. But overall nice meal .

Visited for Sunday lunch (3:30pm) and there were quite a few items on the Sunday menu that were unavailable. Quality of the food was good, level of service very good. Will visit again but maybe at an earlier time so they haven't run out of certain items.

Same menu as last time we came here and no Christmas meal option which was a little disappointing. Not as busy as usual but the food was good as always. Will continue to eat here.. shouty woman customer spoilt the atmosphere.
