Lovely service and great food - 50% was a treat

Good value with 50% off but would have felt expensive at full price. Nice calamari, bao buns and chips but vegan burger was average.

We had booked dinner for 2 people, we had an amazing bar staff and manager who seen us too our table and made us feel welcome. We had the steak night offer would 100% recommend it was amazing food. Will defo go back

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered the mezze for three, and the food was delicious, we didn’t wait for long either. Sitting in the garden on a sunny day made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

There was a mistake on our food order and my food was not as hot as it could have been. The mistake was rectified quickly though.

The Avalon was really busy when we arrived last night due to a Europa match being televised - however the staff dealt with the rush really well and the service and food was as great as ever.

Didn’t take our order for ages, got our order wrong and then over charged us by £295 but still asked for service

Service was excellent, as was a delicious steak pie and chips. A lovely lunch.

Great Sunday roast. Helpful staff. Our group had a great time!

Lots of staff moving too slowly. My friends chicken burger had to be sent back. First one looked like someone deep fried a flip flop. Table service seriously lacking. Had to get up and order every drink. I think the kitchen was understaffed and the FOH team had a severe lack of management.

Slightly annoying to turn up and have half the menu gone - no one really wants a roast before Xmas day One of the meals came out wrong and then when food came out we had to chase for a second round of drinks

Our waitress was fantastic, don’t know her name but she had a butterfly tattoo at the top of her chest. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the roast dinners. I had the Turkey of which there was only one slice. The the potato’s and carrots were rock hard and the whole dinner was cold!! The two roasts went back while the rest of the party who had the sea bream finished their dinner. We then had to eat our dinner after everyone else watched!! I feel the Avalon had crammed too many tables in and couldn’t deliver. If you want to go out for a quiet meal, the Avalon is not the place, the acoustics makes for. VERY loud room. The sea bream dish was apparently delicious and hot 😃

We were served by two very lovely young women - I unortfunately did not get their names! They took care of us from the second we entered and let us enjoy our meals/drinks, checking up on us at the perfect times. Really lovely time and we will definitely be back - staff should definitely be rewarded!
