Our second visit in as many months and just as good as the first. Good food, attentive friendly waitresses/waiter and live music in the background. Highly recommend this place.

We visited on Saturday 7th October. Great food and friendly service as always. Skyline was the band playing and were really good; catered for a wide range of music tastes.

Service was very good. Unfortunately our choice of main was no longer available. The bar area was extremely noisy, however the restaurant is placed far enough away from the bar to make the evening pleasant.

Always enjoy coming to The Avenue; however am seriously unimpressed with their new menu. Where is the Avenue Salad?! That was a classic and has been replaced by a bland vegetarian salad. Don't feel theres enough choice in the new menu, bring back the old one!

The staff were excellent, drinks were fine, the burger & fries again excellent. The salmon was nice however the potatoes were slightly over cooked, what I don't understand is why salmon with potatoes and veg is served with toast ??? Apart from that it was very nice.

I was disappointed the last 2 occasions I ate here but decided to give it another go after the refurbishment, to see if the food had improved. I'm sorry to report I was disappointed again. The kids macaroni was congealed looking as though it had sat under a heat lamp so my toddler wouldn't touch it. I ordered from the tapas menu & I have to say this is very overpriced! The prawns especially were not as nice as I've eaten before despite being more expensive. The staff are lovely however we won't be returning.

Really busy so glad we booked a table. Both went for the burgers. Black and blue (without the blue) was delicious. Back through to the bar for drinks and live music. Top night.

Staff friendly and efficient. Service a bit slow for the mains. Food tasty and good portion although one of the party would have liked a bigger portion of custard.

Overpriced !!! Portions are very small, especially haggis starter which consisted of 3 balls with sauce around it. We all expected a higher standard and left very dissappointed. Only positive was staff were very nice.

Lovely food and good service as usual, the only thing I or my guests were unhappy about was that the website said the music started at 9.30 unfortunately they were 'practising ' at 8.45 they were actually playing - it was very loud and found it difficult to have a conversation
