Had not been for a long time but still at the top of the tree.

Great food and service. But noise people we were sat by.

We visited for Sunday lunch and the food was amazing! Staff were really helpful and attentive, we’ll definitely be back!

Another very enjoyable lunch with friends. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, as usual.

An extremely nice meal in a lovely dining room. Just as we would have expected from somewhere that features in the Good Food Guide. Very subtly flavoured risotto, good fish. My partner had the pea soup followed by pork tenderloin. This dining pub is a real asset to a pretty village.

We had a bit of a long delay between mains and desserts, but by and large, a very pleasant meal as always.

On today’s visit we had the pre fixe menu. Each course was fantastic, couldn’t fault the food. The staff were all friendly but professional, the restaurant itself was sparkly clean and very welcoming. We left very happy and will return again soon.

We booked for Sunday lunch but when we got there at 3pm the restaurant was very busy so we had to wait 30 min for our table, but we just sat in the bar and had drinks and looked at the menus. Food was excellent and floor staff were very attentive. Unfortunately the service from the itchen was very slow, not up to the usual standard, so we were there for a lot longer than we’d planned.

Superb food and service, very pleasant ambience. Will return soon.

The service is amazing from the moment you walk through the door. The wine is beautiful. The food is outstanding. We enjoyed it so much last night that we have booked to go back today.

Beautiful village setting, lovely ambience and traditional decor but with Michelin star quality feel to it. The staff are very polite and attentive. The FOOD! Wow the food is out of this world, true Michelin star quality, beautifully presented, full of adventurous flavour, the textures just melt in your mouth. I also loved that they recommended wines to go with each dish just to add to the experience. Would definitely eat here again, would recommend to everyone.

We were greeted and seated and served with drunks very quickly. The wait for food was longer than usual but the delicious food was well worth the wait. An overall most enjoyable lunch.

Excellent all round. The only thing that I would say is that the chef must be afraid of greens, as it's rare to see any 'green' vegetable accompaniment! Otherwise remains my favourite eatery in the locality.

The food tonight was simply sublime . Every dish was perfectly balanced and tasted amazing . You can clearly tell the chef loves food as this was communicated so well throughout the plates we received. Service was faultless ... enough attention but not overwhelming. Will definitely be back.
