Had a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday. Great value for money. It’s a shame it’s so quiet as there wasn’t much atmosphere. Will definitely return for more great food!

Really good experience. Pub quite busy, so we were glad we had booked. Food great, and plenty of it.

We thought it was very cramped,the staff didn't have clear roles, drinks were forgotten twice, however the food was good. We will try again as this may have been a pff day.

We were asked to pre-order because of the number of people, which we did, only to find the menu online was out of date. We had to do it a second time. We were seated in the bar - having not been told we would be so - and initially it was very crowded and very noisy. The food was generally good, especially the starters, but medium rare steaks were slightly overcooked and the chicken pie came with gravy rather than the promised source. Having said this the staff were very helpful with my pregnant daughter's particular food needs. Some small allowance might have been made for the errors in the bill.

Good service food good but could have been better, tempura prawns batter more suitable for fish batter and chips and bit undercooked. Pie tasty but should have had some vegetables served with it.

Good food, very slow service and a very long wait even for the starters. The special was advertised on a board when we went at 7;30 but we were told it had run out at lunchtime. Why had it not been wiped off the specials board? We were given a table just at the end of the bar and at one point of the evening the noise was awful as glasses/bottles were noisily replaced just by us. We asked for tap water but the glasses for these didn't come and we had to ask. They were at the end of the bar apparently and had been forgotten to be taken to the table. This was the first time we'd been in the evening, and though the food was good for 'pub food', the service was far too slow.

We booked late for a party of ten, including kids and furry friends. Service, food and atmosphere were great!

Genuine restaurant in a pub atmosphere which we wanted because we had American friends. Some meals were very good. Some were distinctly average. The specials like the Chicken Pie were great. Meat dishes like Pork Shoulder were 'tougher'. Deserts were average. Starters brilliant.

Another fantastic sunday lunch. Large portions, but more important high quality of food. They know how to serve roasts nicely pink unless you specify you want it cooked more. Fabulous friendly staff and service.

Very enjoyable late Sunday lunch. Great beer - Golden Pippin, £15 Form 2 courses excellent value. Although 3 of the 4 of us had beef for a couple of quid extra still quality Sunday lunch.

Delicious food. I had the chunk of cod with pea puree for main course and it was cooked to perfection. Service was good and good choice of real ales. Will be back soon.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch. Great vaue for an extremely high quality meal . Large Yorkshire portions and great wine list too. Staff very friendly and great service. Will definitely be back.

Called for a business lunch. Booking on line was easy. Nice pint of Yorkhire blonde. Fish, chips and peas / sandwich all nice. Nice pub.

Good food and welcoming service....every time we go! They even serve Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. Saus and mash great as is the fish and chips. Could do with a few more specials on a Friday night

We have been a few times for Sunday lunch and found the food to be very good. Every course great quality and cooked with skill and care. Vegetarian options are limited. The disabled parking spot has always been full of gas tanks and bits of wood which is poor. Staff are very polite and helpful but always manage to get the bill wrong. We can definitely recommend The Bay Horse for great food and pleasant surroundings. Dogs are welcome which is a bonus!
