We had a fabulous meal. Made to feel very welcome and when we mentioned it was cool in the room as someone had left a door open, they immediately went and closed it. Food was of a very high standard and we will definitely be returning.
very good food and nice pub. will be going back again. good value for money friendly staff. no complaints really and the food i would say is above average.
The food was very good and the atmosphere comfortable. Would definitely go again, we also enjoy the Fox and Hounds at Walton, excellent food there too.
Fabulous food as always Waiting staff need to smarten up their act. Could do with the heating turning up a few degrees, felt quite chilly.
Lovely food. Good value.Nice redecoration. Highly recommended. Will be back soon!
Lovely, good quality food. Good value and all local produce
Good to have local pub open agin. Wonderful food. Waiting staff need some training
Another good meal at the Bay Horse. This time I chose the 'special' main course - which was steak cooked to perfection. What more can you ask for? 10/10
Excellent friendly service; food prepared to a high standard and delivered promptly. We will definitely be going again. The floor is stone flags so somewhat noisy environment but a minor irritation.
We booked the Bay Horse for a meal with friends last week for the first time. When we arrived we ordered some drinks and were informed that the gas cooker was inoperable and therefore they could only offer pie and mash (presumably) from the microwave. My wife is a veggie so we asked if they could book us into their sister pub and because we had our dog with us, they weren't able to do that. Consequently they organised a table at a pub in a neighbouring village. They offered our drinks free and were very apologetic. We will try the pub again in a few weeks time, but I would recommend that they get some spare parts for the most essential bit of equipment in their kitchen. Also the pub feels quite cold - they need to increase the heating.
Food was excellent, good variety and great quality (Bay Horse Pale Ale well worth a try). The place was absolutely full. So good to see The Bay Horse back and so much better than it's been for a long, long time. Would definitely recommend and will be popping in regularly.
Great food. Service was slow to start once we were seated, but once underway - great. Great value for money. Put on your to do list.
Good service, lovely soup, nice desert. However, the main course steak and ale pie was very tough. They didn't charge for the pies (we had 3, all tough and all unfinished) but the evening was a disappointment due to the main course.
A good venue for night out with well prepred and presented food, with attentive servce. Still early days consider specials board and expand the menu. Back cushions for the window seats would add comfort I'm told !!
The staff working where great and food first class what more could you want. The pub was good with a great atmosphere a nice experience I will be going back. Graham
Food pretty good though medium steak slightly over cooked ,big waits before courses and place needs some pics as walls fairly empty and soul less
The food was absolutely fabulous but the service was somewhat lacking. The waiting staff need to get their act together.will be back in a few weeks and hopefully it will have improved
Helpful and attentive staff. Good food nicely presented. Current menu limited but under development. The seats are rather hard and as the daylight hours shorten more lighting may be needed.
This is a fairly new venture for the Fox & Hounds management - as we have visited the F&H on several occasions we were awaiting this reopening with interest. The pub has been renovated well. The menu was a tad limited but the food was excellent - we just hope more dishes will be added in time. However, we will certainly visit again
Our table was in a very dark area of the pub. The food was good but would have been nice if there had been some vegetables. Service was ok.
Excellent meal, friendly staff and good service. Couldn't ask for better. The menu is restricted at the moment as the pub has recently opened but I believe it will be expanding soon.
Pub well decorated and welcoming. Very quiet when we visited. Food was speedily delivered but we had to ask for knives and forks as they weren't delivered with the food. My only niggle. Cheese sandwich could have had a little more cheese in it. Otherwise everything was fine. May be busier on an evening which would make the atmosphere a little more welcoming.
