A very nice and traditional British pub serving tasty and fresh food. Good selection of beers and wines, served with courtesy by really good looking hosts!! Highly recommended!!!!

Location and ease of service was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was a pain for them despite it being the busy season. The food was cooked well and served in a timely fashion. My only comment would be that the food wasn’t as hot as I would like it to be served but it was a busy Sunday afternoon

Classic gastropub menu served in a traditional country pub environmental. Attentive staff. Very good choice of drinks. Food well presented. All-in-all a very worthwhile experience.

Very nice staff who couldn’t have done more to be helpful. Menu was good and food mainly great. Mashed potatoes lacks something, which is a shame when everything else is sno good.

Very good. Food good and the service was good and it was busy, which bodes well and they are doing the right thing. Parking is an issue, but that’s a minor issue, you’ll find somewhere

Rather stodgy food. Limited menu. Nice staff. It’s a shame that this nicely located pub can’t get it right on the food front. It’s changed hands a few times and it’s a while since we ate there. Rather disappointing.

Meals where either over cooked or not cooked enough. Dirty table, side plates and bread platter not removed by waiter until we had finished our meal.

Quite good. Food was great, location and decor fabulous. Let down a little by the service. The young waiter was all at sea but the two waitresses were very good indeed but they needed another pair of hands to keep pace with demand. We were sat for a time with dirty plates waiting to order pud. I’d certainly go back though as all 6 of us had 2 courses and everyone had clean plates.

The highlight of the evening was our waitress. She got everything just right and made us feel most welcome - even though we were late and the last to leave. The food was good; I enjoyed the home-made black pudding in particular. Very glad we went.

Food, service and ambience were excellent. It was a very wet day and the fire should have been lit before we arrived!! shall be going again.

We went for Sunday lunch with a group of friends and kids. The food was great and at a good price. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

Lovely village pub, very friendly. Good menu with plenty of choice, food is excellent. We had the fish pie and the beef from the specials board. Both were delicious! Couldn't resist the puddings!

The traditional Sunday Lunch was good but the pub was full of very noisy children , some wandering about and shouting across the tables to each other. Felt like I was in mcDonalds rather than having a Sunday Lunch.

Good food, good quantity, good service, good value. A warm welcome with great real ales cosy atmosphere and busy, always a good sign of a successful restaurant

Good service & great food - will be back ! The staff were very friendly and the food arrived very quickly. Good sized portions & good value. restaurant was quiet so we had a choice of places to sit. Good beers as well. Back to how it used to be a few years ago.

We had a very enjoyable lunch of lamb pie and a Yorkshire pudding wrap. Both served with the beat chips I have eaten in a long time. Dessert was a chocolate cherry pudding with clotted cream; so good I could quite happily go back and have it again. The service was very friendly

Once again, plenty of people in the place. Busy but with a laid back atmosphere. Both food and drinks were spot on. Especially the Barrista Stout.

This was our first visit and we experienced Excellent service, friendly staff, great beer and, importantly, top quality food. We would recommend the Bay Horse to anyone.

Lovely atmosphere when you walk in and it just gets better. Friendly and attentive staff, the menu is balances and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Good service and excellent menu for the family. We will definitely return in the future as there is a shortage of good pubs near Wetherby.

Lovely pub unfortunately the meal failed to deliver, fish pie was too runny and the Belly Pork left a lot to be desired very bland. On the plus side our starters of pate and were delicious. Very pleasant hard working young man served us, the lady behind the bar could do with learning how to smile.

Popped in for lunch, reasonable selection of ales and a good menu. Staff were friendly and helpful and our sandwiches were delicious. No complaints at all

Not cheap ,but good food at top end pub prices, we had the bay horse burger which was very nice and the chestnut risotto which also was very nice , dessert was ginger crepe brûlée and lemon posset ,again very nice , bottle of decent red came to £51 . Saturday night and not that busy , all in all pretty good but expensive

We had a great Sunday lunch at The Bay Horse. The roast beef was particularly good - with plenty of it and the kids loved the sticky toffee pudding.

The pub has a really nice atmosphere, tasty food with sensible portion size. Very reasonably priced. This was our second visit and we will go back again.

Food was very good especially the soup. Only complaint the place was not very warm. Very quiet it was a surprise for a Saturday night not sure why as lived up to expectations.

We really enjoyed the food - Sunday roast (2x chicken, 1x lamb) all cooked perfectly. We had to ask for extra veg as the amount first provided was not enough - no criticism of the food, just the portion size. My wife also could have done with more gravy, but I didn’t ask for this as it was getting embarrassing having to continually ask for things!! We all ordered the chocolate brownies for dessert and it was excellent. The reason for the 4 rating was mainly due to the fact the waitresses were not attentive enough. Nobody came to ask if we were ok; we had to wait 10 mins for anyone to take our dessert order; my wife ordered a glass of Pinot grigio when we eventually ordered our desserts but it never came! Fortunately it was not added to the bill. This may sound very harsh, but the poor service took the shine off a fantastic meal. The waitresses were all very pleasant, just need some training in doing the job properly! We will go again as the food was so good.

Lovely food (would have liked more vegetarian choices) really vairied range of drinks, with friendly staff. This was the first time I have been since the refurbishment and it looks great.

A great Sunday lunch. A few years since we have been, but a very good meal and will certainly go back again. I had the Sykes House Farm beef extra £2.50 well worth it and roasties brilliant. Thank you

Sunday lunch was excellent at the Bay Horse - roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding couldn't be beaten... except by the chocolate brownie which was awesome. Thank you - we'll be back!

Friendly staff and great pub food. Rather lovely G and T and champers to start the evening. Looking forward to puddings and another glass of vino.

The staff are friendly and efficient, and took our order quickly, but without hassling us. The food was excellent; the the menu is unpretentious, but a little limited. The general environment is a little noisy, mainly because of the stone-flagged floor and hard surfaces, which absorb much sound. Overall, though, a great evening.

We had lunch with lovely fresh baked bread served before the food we ordered arrived which I have to say was delicious. The service was excellent, thank you.

We had plenty of good food including starters and main courses; found the service to be efficient, polite and informative giving us a good evening to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

We had a very nice meal this afternoon, the staff were very nice although we were left sitting with our finished plates for some time. The tea and coffee then came just before the puddings. However, the pub is very cosy with a log burning fire and we would certainly return.
