Beach House Bistro & Bar

Dinner booked for 8.30pm Waitress came over to take food order without asking what drinks we wanted first. She then came back and asked again in a short space of time. Our mains arrived as we were still eating our starters so had to go back to the kitchen and sit to dry out! We were never asked if we wanted to see the desert menu nor if we wanted any more drinks. Had to ask for more tap water. Went to the bar area at 10.20 and wanted a coffee to be told the machine had been switched off. Asked for the bill and it was already there waiting and the waitress appeared on the other side of us with the card reader.. All in all a very rushed experience and we felt like we had to leave as soon as possible. Shame as we spent over £200 on 2 people as a celebration, but won’t be returning

Great atmosphere, there was a saxophonist playing in the background, the service was excellent even from the brand new server's. Food was brilliant, pizza really nice dough and cooked perfect. The chicken kebab was massive, could be half as big and still be enough. Great children menu. Overall an excellent restaurant

My family have come here for dinner a few times now and the last two have not been great. Our most recent visit which was yesterday, we were sat at a table “in the conservatory” which was a table right in the middle of a walk way and right by the bar. Throughout the dining experience people were squeezing by our table, workers were squeezing by with food and drinks knocking myself because of where I was sat. We were also sat right beside where workers were getting knives and forks etc which was extremely loud. I moved round the table to not be directly in front of it. Barman behind the bar when putting mugs and glasses away was extremely loud at doing this. Totally understand people have a job to do and to put things away. However, they should also be very mindful when doing so that there are customers directing in front of them trying to enjoy dinner and drinks but can hardly hear each other due to flinging mugs for the coffee machine and glasses away. Our waiter also got our order wrong. Myself and my mum asked for two of the hamburgers and it was two chicken burgers that came out. I totally understand that mistakes happen and this was dealt with straight away. However, my dad’s dinner still came out and he had to sit and eat to stop it going cold which ruined the dining experience. There was no offer to take my dads back and bring them all back out. Our hamburgers then came out which looked amazing. However, when cutting into the burger, there was blood seeping from the meat. My mums wasn’t just as bad. However, it made me feel as though it was rushed and brought out as quickly as they could as the waiter got the order wrong. Which is fine for someone that likes a burger that way, but to me it made me feel as though my dinner was rushed out for a mistake I didn’t make. I also totally understand that some people may like their burgers this way, however with how raw the meat actually was, the waiters should be asking customers how they would like the meat cooked. Would love to be able to show someone a picture of how raw this was. Overall, the last two visits, service has been slow, orders were also incorrect this visit and last, and this visit was made worse by where we were sat. Disappointing as we love the vibe of the place, love the location by the sea, and decorations and live singers or DJ. But, last two visits have been awful.

Service really slow My seafood pasta had tots of broken shell from mussels Wine was nice Scallops/fish & chips nice I wouldn’t go back for £100!

A night out for our wedding anniversary. Stunning sea view and tasty food although my husband’s steak was a little overcooked. Will definitely return.

Service want the best, food came before drinks and 3 of us had their food before 1 person. Food wasn’t the best. Not worth the prices

Food was lovely as always. Served promptly. Music a notch too loud for us in the restaurant but it was a Saturday and I’m an old fogey. Staff always really pleasant and polite.

No vinegar provided when requested. Sweet turned up minus the ice cream Had to chase coffee One desert still on menu not available albeit a part of a shared desert So a tad disappointed to see a +11.00 service charge. Food quality good

Food was lovely but the service was pretty poor! But to be fair to the team they worked hard and apologised and compensated by a discounted bill. However the mgmt team need to staff the venue accordingly to the season and demand. Not my first time nor my last as it’s a good place to go!!!!

Fabulous find! Took my daughter in law for brunch/lunch before our trip to the Winter Gardens to see Chicago. Food off the lunch menu was awesome. Excellent choice and quality. Great drink selection too all with a seaview. Can totally recommend and will return. Rachael our server and the manager were so helpful.

Fabulous atmosphere lovely food, staff helpful, for our table it was mainly a guy called Rassh hopefully not to far off with the spelling, he was clearly very busy, but all our requirements/requests weren't with a smile and efficient service. Have dined here about 4 times and always enjoyed...will definitely book again when visiting Blackpool

We had the best evening on our honeymoon. The staff were brilliant, the food was perfect, and the view was the best in the north west. We will be back as soon as we can and recommend to all our friends.

Lovely experience from the moment we were greeted by the staff. The menu was creative and the food was delicious. My only criticism was there was water on the toilet floor.

Always a great welcome to match the atmosphere, served by smart enthusiast staff, with the addition of an excellent saxophonist, and the food is good too !

Staff were very good, atmosphere very good, food very good. The only thing was that it was too hot with the sun beaming down. We asked if we could be moved, but couldn’t be. They pulled the awning over to shade a little. There were other tables that they moved other clients onto in the shade, yet they didn’t move us, which was disappointing. We did ask why and they said it was an oversight on their behalf as it seemed we could have been moved and enjoyed the meal and view more. Thank you

We had a lovely table overlooking the beach. Service was great and when my husband was unable to have the dessert he wanted because there was a question over whether there were nuts in it we were given a free round of drinks. Could not fault the service or care for the customer. Will return and recommend for sure.

Food fab & great sized portions, staff were very friendly & helpful Atmosphere was buzzing, only downside was our original table was inside next to the window where due to the blazing sun ( not that we are complaining about the weather!!) it was far too hot to sit there & have a meal fortunately the very kind front of house hostess found us an available table outside, the restaurant may want to consider have pull down blinds (if needed) for very hot sunny days

The food is lovely and the views are stunning. What lets this restaurant down is the poor service on drinks. We waited over half an hour for our first drink. Our last round of drinks were served at different times. The table next to us who were served after us, received all their cocktail drinks before we got both our drinks (coffee and a gin and tonic). Wouldn't come back for this reason which is a shame as the food was excellent.
